Thanksgiving 2007 Family Party (our house)
Everything turned out just perfectly (we celebrate it the day AFTER Thanksgiving, so the family can take care of other obligations on the DAY of Thanksgiving)... the food came out exactly as we all wanted, the weather was perfect... it was beautiful, clear, and semi-cold (high 40's), lots of laughter and lots of contentment. Richard felt better this year than he has in MANY years, which made things great for me! I've put on quite a bit of weight since I quit smoking, but that's OK, because I'm finally getting my sense of smell and taste back, and I feel GREAT! Not even so much as a sniffle in the year-and-a-half since I quit smoking! This morning (Saturday), it's COLD and raining to beat the band! The HIGH today is supposed to be in the mid-40's! And tomorrow is supposed to be even colder and more rain. Then when I'm going back to work on Monday, the rain is supposed to clear and it's going to warm up... tell ME the Lord doesn't take care of His own!
