According to a report in the respected London Sunday Times,
Israel's armed forces were put on alert by Ariel Sharon to prepare for possible
strikes against secret uranium nuclear enrichment plants in Iran. Israel's intelligence services warned the government that Iran is
operating small uranium enrichment facilities in concealed civilian locations
around the country. By way of background, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has
been beating the drums of war in Israel's direction, saying in one speech that
Israel should be wiped off the map, and in another saying Israel should be
relocated to Europe. Last week, he claimed the Holocaust was a Zionist fiction made up
by Jews to win world sympathy after the war. Germany summoned Iran's ambassador
to Berlin for a meeting to 'clarify' his remarks. According to a German foreign ministry spokesman, the meeting was
aimed at making clear to the diplomat that Berlin was strongly opposed to
Ahmadinejads remarks and regarded them as "completely unacceptable". Amadinejad responded by telling the TV channel El Alam that if
Germany and Austria had guilty feelings about World War II massacres of Jews,
"they were welcome to accommodate the state of Israel on their own
soil." In addition, Iran has even managed to exasperate the ever-patient
Egyptian head of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA]. El Baradei,
no friend of the United States or US foreign policy, is himself an Egyptian, who
began his career in 1964, under the Arab Socialist Nasser. A Muslim,
El-Baradei served in Egypt's diplomatic service during
both of Egypt's wars against Israel in 1967 and 1973. His anti-Israeli and
pro-Islam biases were so pronounced that the United States unsuccessfully
lobbied against his re-appointment to a third term at the IAEA. So when even Mohammed
El-Baradei confirmed this week that Iran is
only a few months away from having an atomic bomb, Israel began preparing for
war with its most dangerous enemy. Assessment:
Iran's entire nuclear program is a Russian construct; one that is
worth billions of dollars to Russia's cash-strapped economy. Iran's nuclear facilities are crawling with Russian nationals;
technicians, scientists, advisors, security and military personnel -- and, in
many cases, their families. A strike against these facilities would undoubtedly
kill many of them, including some of the cream of Russia's nuclear scientists. The Russians are unlikely to shrug their shoulders, bury their
dead, and head back to Moscow to explain to their investors that Israel blew up
all their investments. Indeed, Moscow only last week signed a $1 billion contract to sell
Iran advanced anti-missile systems capable of disrupting smart bomb technology.
Moscow is relying on the terms of a secret 1995 agreement called the "Gore-Chernomyrdin
Protocol" that Russian officials say permits continued military sales to
Iran. In 1995, as part of the terms of the then-secret deal, Gore
effectively promised that the US would look the other way while the Russians
armed Iran. The Gore-Chernomyrdin protocol was first disclosed publicly in 2000.
The Russians claim Gore promised to help Russia enter the international arms
market, but then he reneged on the promise. The deal was supposed to expire in 1999, but by then, the Russians
were far too deeply engaged in their nuclear deals with Iran to worry about
expiration dates on secret deals that Al Gore and the Clinton administration
wanted to keep under wraps anyway. So, by 2000, the stage was set for what bears all the necessary
elements to fulfill Ezekiel's prophecy regarding the Gog-Magog War. Let me add,
this is the first time in history that all those parts envisioned by Ezekiel
were in place. According to Ezekiel 38:5 the players are Israel, Russia, Iran,
Islamic North Africa, together with parts of Meditteranean North Africa. In that light, it is both fascinating and terrifying to watch
Russia being slowly, inexorably being drawn into the Middle East conflict,
almost against its better judgement. Driven by Russia's economic and strategic needs to outflank the
West's perceived drive for global economic dominance, the circumstances make it
virtually impossible for Russia to sit it out while Israeli warplanes, backed by
the United States, bomb Russian citizens and Russian foreign investments into
oblivion. Ezekiel sets no boundaries as to the length of the Gog Magog War,
other than to say it culimates with an all out (and unopposed) invasion of
Israel that ends with their destruction 'against the mountains of Israel'. The
destruction is so complete that Ezekiel says it will take the Israelis seven
years to decontaminate the area, burn the invader's weapons and bury its dead. Ezekiel describes the destruction of Gog-Magog's invading army this
way: "And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood;
and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are
with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone." Ezekiel penned his prophecy in the middle of the 5th century BC,
one thousand years before Mohammed, two thousand years before Columbus, and
twenty-five hundred years before Israel's restoration. His prophecy and the forecasts of modern-day secular futurists
examining current geo-political trends differ only in that in Ezekiel's vision,
Israel wins. Whether or not Ezekiel's scenario will be fulfilled in the
immediate aftermath of any Israeli strike on Iran is unclear. It takes time to
mount an invasion force, -- and America still stands in the way. (Unless it is
otherwise taken out of the picture, either by a massive terrorist strike -- or
perhaps the Rapture? ) What IS clear is that, for the first time in history, the
conditions for Ezekiel's scenario to move forward are exact, down to the tiniest
detail. And we have the Word of Jesus Christ, Who promised, "And when
these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for
your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28) My input: It has long been my position that an Israeli strike on Iran would
be the very fish hook which will draw the Russian bear to form an Arab alliance
against Israel as Ezekiel foretold. I stated even last year that Russia would
not sit idle if these facilities were destroyed. And given the strategic theater
in the Middle-East, Russia would certainly have to cripple the United States
militarily in order to have any change at a successful, retaliatory strike
against the nation of Israel. My initial projection included the use of the many Russian nuclear
submarines patrolling international waters off both our coastlines. Each
advanced sub has the capability to destroy about 35 major US cities in merely 7
minutes time, which will deem our ground-based ICBM's inoperable, due to the
resulting nuclear yield onto these targets, as well as the immense EMP which
will disable the electronic components of our ICBM systems. However, we would
have time to pass down our launch codes to our nuclear submarine positions in
the Black Sea and in the Mediterrain Sea, resulting in a devasting blow to the
Russian Bear on her homeland. Ezeikiel depicts that Russia will somehow be dealt a devastating
blow, leaving only 1/6 of her army to remain after a very destructive defeat. It
still remains my position that God will use the United States to deliver this
primary blow, giving Israel the needed edge to defeat the enemies invading her
northern mountians. Modern day weapons do not burn easily, but disabled
nuclear weapon can serve as fuel in nuclear energy generation afterwards.
Compare the depicted era of 7 years in Ezekiel to the length of time of Daniel's
70th week, which is also 7 years. Interesting, isn't it? Although my primary theory here still remains on track, new
developments in the war on terror has opened the door to an added possibility: Russia may also be aligned in ways with Al-Qaida, also Arab tribe.
The Department of Homeland Security and our Congress has confirmed that many
nuclear weapons have been smuggled into the US across the Mexican border.
Reports indicate that most are suitcase armaments, but it is also possible that
a full scale warhead may have been smuggled in as well. During the cold war, it
was determined that KGB agents buried many of these weapons in the desert
regions of the southern United States, and many officials fear that Russia may
have given these locations to Al-Qaida for retrieval. As the White House states,
"It is not a question of if, but when these will be used on our
cities." Therefore, in context of recent developments, I cannot rule out a
possible one-two strike by both Al-Qaida and Russia on the US. Is seems logical
that Russia may first allow Al-Qaida to launch the first initial series of
devastation to greately cripple the US while putting her into a major frenzy,
and then deliver the final blow herself in the immediate aftermath from her
coastal sub positions. And we now have the EMP threat from Iran to add to this
frightening equation. If you don't have Jesus, you'd better get Him quick! Indeed, our redemption is drawing near. Ezekiel 39:6
