As I am watching the election results here in Israel , I cannot find words to express my dismay. I am overwhelmed with a sense of dispair and alarm, and yet I am also determined to fight such emotions and thank God for what I know will be turned into a victory for Him.

The preliminary exit polls show Kadima with 29 seats, Labor with 22, and Likud with only 11. All totaled, the left wing parties have 62 seats, which means that even without the religious parties who will sell their votes, they have a clear majority. This will be interpreted as a mandate and the destruction of Israel will proceed unabated.

It is simply beyond my belief that the Jewish people have forgotten the lessons of history so quickly. I cannot imagine that we can be so foolish to have elected leaders who are so lacking in moral character, who have no fear of God, and who will place Israel's very existence into jeopardy for the sake of personal gain. I a m really astonished.

I knew this was possible, and even probable, but being faced with the reality of it is at this moment, is overwhelming.

This opens the door to every foul and abominable notion that unregenerate man can imagine.

Meretz will push for, and likely get homosexual marriage and rights to push their agenda down the throats of innocent school children.

This means that the socialist labor party will reverse and destroy every economic revision that Netanyahu was able to accomplish in the last couple of years. Our economy will deteriorate significantly if we return to opening the flood gates of the welfare mentality.

This means that Israel will go ahead with removing 250,000 Jews from their homes and the land of their God given inheritance. This means most probably a civil war in which Jews slaughter Jews.

This means a divided Jerusalem , and Arabs launching missiles into the heart of Israel's towns, including Jerusalem . In fact just this past week the Knesset completed work on the roof in order to protect against falling rockets that may be sent from East Jerusalem .

This means that Olmert and company will trample on the civil rights of the people of Israel , and that corruption will run wild with no one to turn to for justice, or mercy.  

This means a renewed assault on the Religious Zionists movement and on all settlers.

This means the actual creation of the nation of Palestine , something that never before existed, on the very mountains of Israel that God declares as His own.

This means terrorism will reach new heights far and beyond anything we have suffered before.

This means that terrorism worldwide will escalate exponentially as the Islamic world has demonstrated that as a strategy, it produces results that no one could have imagined.

This means judgment and suffering of unimaginable degree upon the Jewish people who once again have abandoned their God for foreign kings, and the lusts of the world.

As I said yesterday, this will be as prophetically significant as was 911.  I can almost hear the footsteps of the anti-Christ marching towards Jerusalem . We know of course what we must do now. We must each one of us set aside as much time as we possibly can for intercession for Israel and the salvation of the Jewish people.

The ramifications of this are far reaching, and only time will tell how quickly things will come apart. We may very well have a time of relative peace, but I don't think it will last through the summer.

Oh God have mercy on us.

Thankfully, I know that God will have mercy upon us and deliver us from the eternal death that we deserve, in order that through the mercy shown to Israel , the name of Yeshua will be exalted in all the earth.
