Here we will examine only a few of the Scriptures I believe point to the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are as follows:

1) Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

Thanks to satellite, there are very few places left on earth where the gospel has not reached. I know of ministries that beam the word into every city and every town on the planet, every day.

2) Matthew 13:24-30 "And another parable He put forth to them saying: The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? He said to them, an enemy has done this. The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?' But he said to them, No lest while you gather up the tares, you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. And at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers 'First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."

This is to say that there will be both believers and unbelievers living and working together, side by side at the last days. Jesus will allow this until the Rapture at least seven years before He physically returns to Earth.

3) 2 Peter 3:3-4 "Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lust, and saying, where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

Are there scoffers today? There always has been but not like now. A generation ago, most people believed. Not today. When I talk to a person about the second coming the first thing I hear is, "yeah, yeah, you Bible thumpers have been saying that for two thousand years and will be saying it for two thousand more!"

4) Daniel 12:4 "But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Did they understand in Daniel's time? A hundred years ago? We do now. A person can cross the country or the ocean in just hours. And thanks in large part to computers, knowledge increases as much in a day now as it did in the last century and in all of recorded history before that.

5) 2 Timothy 3:1 "But know this, that in the last day perilous times will come"

Are we in perilous/dangerous times? When I was a kid, most cars started without a key. We didn't even know anyone who knew where their house keys were, no one used them. We almost never heard of tornadoes, earthquakes, famine, etc., and that was only 40 years ago. Now they are almost daily.

6) 2 Pete 3:5-6 "For this they willfully forget. That by the word of God the Heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded by water."

The world is full of scoffers who think the flood of Noah was a local flood or just a silly story, in spite of the evidence to the contrary.

7) Luke 17:26 "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man."

Folks were going about life as usual. Eating, drinking, marrying, raising families, nothing new under the sun. Yesterday, today and tomorrow, all the same. Until it started to rain. Same as today. No one paying attention. Look out, here comes the rain.

8) Mark 13:8 "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places. And there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows."

One only need look around to see this has been going on quite a while.

9) Matthew 24:22 "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened."

This does not mean the length of the days will be changed as some say, but that their numbers will be decreased. It also speaks to the fact that man has the ability, for the first time ever, to destroy all life on earth.

10) Luke 21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars, and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity the sea and the waves roaring."

There are signs in the sun today. It's acting up, doing things we've never seen. So is the moon. Light beams out of craters, clouds where there was no atmosphere. Same with the other planets and some of their moons. And if Earth is not in distress, I don't know what is. We even have waves roaring and crashing into England.

11) 2 Timothy 3:2 "For men will be lovers of themselves. Lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy."

We certainly see this in today's people.

12) Luke 21:17 "And you will be hated by all for my name sake"

The Jewish people are hated by almost everyone on the planet and true Christians don't fare much better.

13) 2 Timothy 3:2-5 "For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanders, without self control, brutal, despisers of good."

The world is in a state of moral decay. Just as foretold.

14) 2 Peter 2:1 "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction."

Do we not have false teachers everywhere today. A goodly portion of TV Evangelists are false prophets and teachers, lining their own pockets, buying multi-million dollar jets, Rolex watches, etc., and living a lavish life style. All at the expense of the flock they are fleecing instead of feeding. They teach destructive heresies to millions at a time and will soon be destroyed themselves.

15) Daniel 7:23 "Thus he said: the fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on Earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms and shall devour the whole Earth, trample it and break it in pieces."

This passage is speaking of a one world government in the last days, are making great progress towards this today.

16) 1 Thessalonians 5:3 "For when they say 'peace and safety' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they shall not escape."

The world today, is desperately seeking peace, but it will elude us and end in Armageddon.

17) Revelation 11:9 "And they of the people and kindred and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves."

He is speaking of the death of the two witnesses in Jerusalem. When in history have we had Global Communications. My Dad couldn't explain how this could be in his time.

18) Israel will be reborn as a nation in the end times. This was fulfilled in 1948. Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 to see this prophesy.

19) Isaiah 66:8 "Who hath heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Will the Earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or a nation be born at once?"

It did. In one day, May 14, 1948.

20) Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15 speak of Israel being in possession of Jerusalem at the last times. This happened as a result of the six day war in 1967. The clock is ticking.

21) Psalms 83:4 "They have said, come, let us cut them off from being a nation. That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance."

Israel is cut off. Enemies on every side. All of them want to wipe the Jews from the face of the Earth.

22. Zechariah 12:3 "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people, all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the Earth be gathered together against it."

The entire world just sent leaders to Maryland to gather together against Israel, and in particular, Jerusalem.

23) Revelation 3:15 "I know thy works, that you are neither cold or hot. I would rather you were cold or hot."

Christians are now, mostly lukewarm in their faith, professing with their mouth but doing very little.

24) Matthew 24:24 "For there shall arise Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

They are and have been showing up. Jim Jones, David Koresh, some of the modern faith healers and TV Evangelists, etc. End times are here.

25) Jude 1:18 "How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their ungodly lusts."

Sexual immorality not only is common place today, but one of the biggest businesses there is.

26) 1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in latter times some shall depart from their faith, giving geed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils."

Many churches today as foretold, have departed from Scripture, teaching doctrines not Biblical. Ordaining homosexual priests, teaching that there is no hell, that Christ was not born of a virgin, or that Mary is co redeemer. The list goes on and on.

27) Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination, they shall surely be put to death, their blood shall be on them."

Homosexuality will abound. This sin is no worse in God's eyes than any other. But sin is sin.

28) Acts 2:17-18 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy."

Many are beginning to unravel Biblical mysteries and end time prophecies and begin to warn the world of the last days. Even as are we on this website.

29) Romans 8:21-23 "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God for we know that the whole creation groweth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only (they) but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption (to wit), the redemption of our body."

This passage speaks of the trouble the Earth itself is in. And the true Christians longing for Christ's return.

30) Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads and that no man might buy or sell, save he had that mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

The technology is in existence today for the first time ever, to track the entire population of the Earth.

31) Revelation 9:16 "And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand, and I heard the number of them."

This passage speaks of the Kings of the East (China) being able to field an army of 2,000,000 foot soldiers. China says as of 2006, they have 281,240,272 men fit for military service.

32) Matthew 24:6 "And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled, for all "these things) must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

There has been "wars and rumors of wars" for a long time. We are way into the labor pains.

33) Luke 21:28 "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh."

Collectively, these things are all coming to pass. The end is close, and the Rapture even closer.
