See That No One Deceives You

by Voice from Zion

The terrorist attack in London yesterday was a sobering reminder that we are living in a world where there are wars, rumors of wars, terror, violence, and every manner of evil. Yet, the greatest threat facing us today is not from terrorists, it is from deception!

Scripture says there was a time when the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked Him, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Matthew 24:3

They were seeking answers to three questions. When would the 2nd Temple be destroyed? What signs should we look for that indicates your coming and the end of the age?

His answer to His disciples was profound. And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads (deceives) you.” Why did Jesus choose to answer the question in this way? He wanted His disciples to know and understand that the primary sign they should be looking for that would be an indication of the time of His coming was near was not terror, but “deception!”

We are living today in such a time. America’s leaders, Israel’s leaders, and the world’s leaders all declare we are engaged in a war against “terrorism.” Nothing could be further from the truth. It is a lie, and as it is with all lies it has one primary purpose – deception! And it is from where all lies come, the father of lies, Satan.

Nations and people around the world are engaged in a war with Satan, not terror. Terror is one of the weapons. Satan has chosen the Islamic religion as his agents to perpetrate his schemes of terror and violence around the world. The evil one is the root source of yesterday’s attack against the innocent people of London. The weapon used was terror and it was delivered by his agents, the agents of Islam.

Ironically, Al-Qaida issued a press release stating that the attacks in London were in retaliation for British support of Israel as well as for the British/U.S. efforts in Iraq. Factually, there is no support by the British for the state of Israel, as they consistently seek to divide the nation and to create a Palestinian State. Factually, the British actually have some glowing things to say about Islam, particularly the BBC. (Olivetreeviews.org)

If you watch the BBC you know they have often been a consistent friend and ally of radical Islam. Well, the snake that they sought to charm bit them yesterday and it will continue to bit them in the future.

Today, no world leaders speak the truth to their people because deception is the order of the day rather than truth. The true underlying foundational issue here is a spiritual one. It is never spoken of in the news media, nor would any world leaders dare speak about it. Why? Because the central issue here is who is God – Allah or Jesus? Who will rule and reign over the nations – Jesus or Allah? Who will be worshiped on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem – Jesus or Allah?

This is a war that will not end until the Lord comes to rule and reign. It cannot be won by any worldly power. Only by and through the power of the Lord of Lord and King of Kings will this battle be decided once and for all.

This battle is going to grow in intensity, not decrease because the issue is forcing everyone to choose to be deceived or to understand and speak out the truth as written in God’s word. The deception will increase, not decrease because God’s word says it will.

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12

The foundation is being laid for the coming of the lawless one, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders. Today, the world is looking for signs and wonders, and the lawless one will have the power to perform them and to deceive even some of the elect.

Because many chose not to receive the love of the truth so as to be saved, Scripture says; “For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness!”

A growing part of this deception is causing many denominations of Christians to turn against the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. Recently the United Church of Christ chose to join with the Presbyterian Church USA, the World Council of Churches, The United Methodist Church, the Episcopal Church, and the Anglican Church who have all agreed to disinvest from the stock of any company doing business in Israel.

Replacement theology that is being espoused by many Christian denominations, that the Church has replaced Israel, is strong and growing world wide. This is based upon deception, and is a lie from the pit of hell. Anyone who reads and believes Scripture knows that the God of Israel does not change. He is a covenant making and covenant keeping God!

Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” John 10:29

Jesus also said, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

The Father declared in the Old Testament, “For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

Because Jesus said, “I and the Father are One,” then Jesus and the Father are the One who made the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and all their descendants.

Jesus was sent by the Father as the author and creator of the New Testament. Consequently, if Jesus and the Father chose to lie and break their covenant with Abraham and his descendants regarding the Old Testament (Covenant), then they can choose to lie to you about your salvation and they can break their covenant with you.  Why? Because they are the same God who made both the Old and New Covenants! They are One.

Yet God is not a man that He should lie, or change. Our God is a covenant making and covenant keeping God. To all those who choose to believe this He declares:

“But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught; whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15

Remember the word that I said to you, “A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.” John 15:20-21

“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” Revelation 12:11

Are you prepared to stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us? Will you keep His word for His names’ sake when you are persecuted? Have you chosen to be an overcomer because of the word of your testimony and not to love your life even when faced with death?

The time to choose has arrived! No exceptions.
