Holy Smoke!  That’s amazing.  I’m glad you’re relatively OK.

I did just about the same thing on I-45 seventeen years ago, before cars had airbags.  Fortunately I was driving a massive piece of Detroit steel that must have used I-beams for a frame.  The front end and the trunk were crumpled, but the passenger space was fine.  I had nothing more than a little whiplash.

Thank God for airbags, eh?  I’m amazed that you weren’t pinned between your seat and the steering wheel.  What caused the gash on the back of your head?  Glass from the rear window?  Something lying loose in the back seat?  Or is it just one of those wounds you find later that you can’t explain?

Will you need any surgery to reconstruct your wrist, or will it heal with just a splint?  How fast will you be able to type with just your left hand?  Will that slow you down to 60 wpm?

What will you be driving when you’re back in operation?  I suggest a truck with a snow plow on the front.

I’m glad you had as few injuries as you did, and hope the rest get well soon.
