2003 Blessings!

Hi, precious friends!  The Lord has blessed us so greatly, I'm not sure I can list all our blessings for 2003 on one page, but I'll try to recap some of them for you.

The first blessing that comes to mind is that He gave us Rusty in February as a playmate for Kayla (whom we've had for over a year and a half now).  They just turned 2 years old today.  They are marvelous dogs, and a real blessing to us!  And it turns out that they are from the same litter, but we adopted them 15 months apart from the same place, Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary here in Houston!  What are the odds???

One HUGE blessing that happened to us is that He helped us sell my home... much needed financial boost!!!  Immediately, we thanked Him for this blessing, and we asked Him to guide our spending of the money, and He has led us and has blessed what He gave us SO much!

As a result, we were able to begin this site to worship Him with!  It has been such a blessing, because I think of SO many things I want to share with people, and now I can share with the world any time I wish! We began the site in October 2003, and He has blessed it, and it has grown considerably!

Also, in "the flood" of 2001 (Tropical Storm Allison), we had 6' of water in our yard, and over 2' in our house!  We lost all our carpeting and flooring, along with various other items.  This money has helped us to be able to begin fixing up our home again!

We were also able to purchase a 1-ton crew cab truck, which is a HUGE blessing when things flood around here ever so often... THIS truck will go through HIGH waters!!!  We were able to pay cash for it, so we have NO vehicle payments!

My Dad was healed from his prostate cancer!  And for 83-years-old, he gets around VERY well!  The Lord has blessed this God fearing man SO much!

The Lord has blessed our health and the health of our loved ones this year!  Mine & Richard's marriage seems to get stronger by the day, and in this day in age, that in itself is a rare and precious gift!

We have walked in the Spirit all year, and have been allowed to witness for Him in many ways!

I discovered earlier this year that Judy Hamilton (whom I've known at work for about 8 years now) is also a born-again Christian, and we have grown SO close!  It's wonderful, because we are able to share spiritual matters every day at work!!!

He has led MANY new people into my life this year, as well as strengthening the friendships I already have!!!  I am able to learn new things from these people, and learn to forge eternal friendships with many of you!  What a PARTY we are going to have when we meet Him in the clouds!!!

The Spirit has inspired me to write MANY new poems this year, and inspired Richard to write and produce a whole CD's worth of songs!!!

We have strengthened our relationship with our grown children--Shelly (31), Michael (28), Josh (28), and Chris (23), which is just wonderful!

MANY answers were received to prayers this year, in our own lives, as well as in the lives of others on the Prayer list!  All glory be to the Lord forever & ever!

Love you all!  His forever!!!
Peggy

FRIENDS' BLESSINGS FOR 2003

Cort & Del Johnson

For openers I thank God for our fellowship on line, for Doris, Judy and you, and for all your time and effort to share your faith with others on the Internet. And you know I thank God for my brother's salvation at this late date in his life. I thank Him for my husband and for my daughter, that we are all one in Christ. I thank Him for our pets and that He gave us Crissy in 2003, a little lost puppy to take care of and love. I thank Him for all His provision for us. And most of all we  than Him for His gift of salvation through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There's a lot more to thank Him for but I'd better leave room for the others.  Cort and I are thankful for the Christian penpals and friends we have met (in spirit) in prison and the love they return to us. We are so blessed by all our Christian friends and by all your poems that we  share with those who are incarcerated. GF they (inmates) really do appreciate your gift.

Jay & Marsha Biles

God has blessed us in a million ways but I will only mention a few.  When Jay lost his job on November 30th, the new contract company hired him to begin work for them on December 1st of this year.  God is sooooo good.  That would have really been hard to not have a job during the Christmas season but once again God came through for us, just as He always does.  Our son changed jobs and was hired at First Baptist Church, Velonia, AR as their fulltime youth minister, and our daughter graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of this year with her 4 year degree, and it only took her 3 years to complete it.  Then, God blessed her with a very good paying job as the Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach, Freshman “A” and “B” team basketball coach, and she teaches History 3 classes a day at Spring High School.  And all of this took place for her at the age of  21 years.  Yes, God is VERY good to us, and blesses us each and every day of our lives.

March: I was blessed with strength to do two jobs and pay off a few extra bills

April: I was blessed with a foot pedicure from my daughter...it was such a blessing and relaxing

May: I was blessed with the age of 62, a lot of friends b-days whom I have been in contact with for 45 yrs or more, and an answer to prayer as I watched over a friends four children so she was blessed with time off at a Ladies Christian retreat.

June: I was blessed with the knowledge that my husband of 24yrs, after 17years of prayer,  plus the prayers from his-forever partners, he accepted salvation, and left this ole world to be with the Lord.

July: I was blessed with a new vehicle, and a good deal it was...Praise the Lord.

August: I was blessed with finding a terrific home for my new puppy that was alone to much for me to handle him properly. His name now is "Lucky" as he has two acres on the waterfront and a family with a stay at home mom.  It was also a blessing to receive news of a new grandchild on the way in April 2004

September: I was blessed meeting an old flame I had not seen for 45 years and thought to be deceased.  This was very exciting after I had prayed for the Lord to put in his heart to come and see me.  Very special.  Praise the Lord!  Prayers needed here for him and his salvation.  Only God knows if I will see him again.  He has a special place in my heart and my prayers.

October:  I was blessed with a new Bible Study, an answer to prayer.  Blessed also with a beautiful Thanksgiving Day with the family of God.  Gave much Thanks.. Prasie the Lord!

November:  I was blessed with an early Christmas Present that I may be using in 2004..flight to Maui.  At this time I as so excited and gave thanks.  Also blessed with a few days off with friends back home.  Met a Jewish fellow and heard his Christian Testimony.  A great blessing with my family of God.  I was also blessed with the knowledge that before my 47 yr. old niece left this ole world she had given her heart to the Lord thur asking questions of the minister put in her path.. Praise the Lord!

December:  I was blessed with many things this month, old friends, Christmas displays, beautiful sites.. strength to work the many hours this month, blessed with ability to create my own Christmas site.  My blessed trip to Maui was cancelled due to stress but I was told I may have saved myself from some extra grief… Only God knows!

Each and every month blessings pour in … good health, enough to get by, vistis with family, able to get to and fro, a warm bed, a comfy home, and most of all it all belongs to the Lord…first I sought his Kingdom and all these things have been added on to me… Praise the Lord.

A Great Idea:  Take a sheet of paper and make a list of the things you would like to ask God to do in 2004..for yourself, or partner, your friends, those in need, fix a problem between folks, etc.. seal it in an envelope and do not open it till next New Years.  Pray for that list each week.  You will be surprised how many prayers God has answered during the year…one year I had seven prayers answered.. that was every single one.  You will not remember what you wrote but God will.   He is faithful and true.

Count your blessings one by one!  - May you all be blessed richly each and every day of the New and coming year..  Smiles ‘n blessings…  Annie

See ya at the house !!!

In our Father’s house are many mansions…  He is coming again to take us to that house He has prepared for us…  see ya there !!!

Mary Richardson

One of the Blessing that I had this year, is having Carol come into my life. We started out as just email buddy's and now We have a relationship that me and her both have always dreamed of; A Mother and Daughter relationship. Even thou, We found one another through the Internet, and never met in person, I can always feel her here by my side. I just found out that the doctors have told her that she is a walking time bomb and life for her could be any moment now. She has been through a lot. Her life hasn't been easy at all, Until we met. Now her life and mine has been complete on a Mother, Daughter relationship. I want to Thank God for the time me and her have had. We are both praying that; We can finally met one another in person before she goes home to be with the Lord and helps to prepare for us here.

(See she is in Calif. and I'm here in Texas!)

I also want to Thank God for having you and my brother Richard for being here in my life still today, I couldn't ask for a better brother and sister-in-law.

I also want to Thank God that me and my husband Bobby were not killed in the motorcycle accident back in Oct. 2003!

I also want to Thank God for protecting and guiding my oldest son and his wife from all the drugs on the street's, It has been 2 years and they are both still clean to this day!

Most of all for protecting Me and my family from all the Evil out there and Guiding me through all the bad times I've had this year.  I am also, Thankful for God guiding you and my brother Richard into putting this web site together this year! (I know how much my brother like to be on computers, Thank You Bro.) Thank You Both and I Love You.

Karen

I thank God for His infinite wisdom and provision.  When I got laid off from Lucent in October 2002, the Lord gave me an awesome strategy.  He told me to pay my rent, phone bill, and electric one year in advance with the money I received from Lucent for my years of service.

In January 2003 I was blessed with a new job, but after 8 months, I had to quit because of health reasons.  I had some money put aside in the bank, but now I knew why God instructed me to pay my rent, phone bill and electric one year in advance. PRAISE JESUS.  I was also approved to receive unemployment benefits and I received my first check within two weeks oppose to 4 weeks or more.  I thank God for this time of rest, refreshment and renewal which is truly a blessing.

Carol

Shelly Rhea (my daughter)

I have received many blessings in 2003.  First and foremost is the good health my family has had.  Colds and sniffles are nothing compared with the problems inflicted on others.

Also (along with one of Mom's blessings) she was able to get her house sold.  Because of this they had the money to help out my family by giving me their car when they purchased their truck.  This has been a Godsend!!!!!  As a result I have more time to spend with my boys and help them with their homework so they have been making better grades (this is true!).

And finally, I have dreamed of taking a vacation overseas but never had the money.  He has made sure that we will get the help we need to get the money together without us sacrificing too much.  I have such a wonderful family that also helped with things I knew I could not afford (Thank you Mom and Pop for the luggage and Grammy and Dad for the monetary contribution!!!!).

Judy Hamilton

There is no way I could recap all the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me in 2003.  He is so wonderful, and I am so very grateful for even the little blessings, such as the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Some of the major blessings I'm eternally grateful for are:  finding out that Peggy and I are sisters as well as friends, which led to introductions to other wonderful and warm Christians; my daughter Laura's graduation from college--she couldn't have done it without His help; and, she's landed a job in Wisconsin; my oldest daughter, Tracy, is getting married to a terrific young man (finally;) I've got my health; I'm employed.  My best wishes for a safe, healthy and Happy New Year!!!!!!!
