Hi, precious friends!  I met Cheyrl in my partying days (pre-February 2002).  She and her husband, Ray, and Richard & I were all bikers, and we used to go to a local biker bar called the Iron Horse.  Cheyrl and I became spiritually close very early on.  When she developed TB in 2000, seemingly out of nowhere, I was not able to go to the hospital to visit her, which nearly broke my heart!  But she was thoroughly convinced in her mind that I had been there several times at night, prayed over her and talked to her for hours.  She also thought that I and another friend had introduced her to her guardian angel one night, that the 3 of us prayed over her, then I had stayed and talked to her for another hour or so!  That NEVER happened!  She was not allowed visitors!  But I thank the Lord that before she died, she and I had a chance to get to know the Lord together, and that one day (SOON, I hope!), we will stand before the Bema Seat TOGETHER, and we'll be together with Him forever!  Below is the poem I wrote for her 2 weeks after she died!
I'll love you forever, Cheyrl Ann!  Peggy

Ode to Cheyrl Ann Hughes!

I had a friend named Cheyrl Ann, the best I'd ever known.
She had so very many friends from all the seeds she'd sown.

She'd walk into our favorite bar, a huge grin on her face.
She'd give us all a great big hug, a Cheyrl Ann embrace.

She never met a stranger, and loved to joke around.
We used to all go Harleying all around the town.

She and I were "soul" sisters, as close as we could be.
When she needed, I'd pray for her, and then she'd pray for me.

But, just last June, she fell so ill; the good Lord took her home.
And now there's just an empty space where once she used to roam.

I miss you, Cheyrl, so very much, your precious, happy face.
And though I have a lot of friends, you'll never be replaced.

And sometime at a future time, I know that it is true,
I'll stand close beside you, and face our dear Lord, too!

I love and miss you, Cheyrl Ann!
