NOTE FROM PEGGY:  I recently began creating my own dangling earrings, because I had a heck of a time finding black, red, purple, or turquoise colored earrings, and most of my clothes are a combination of those colors!  It's easy to get the hang of, and you can make some gorgeous earrings!  Below are photos of the four different pairs I've already made:
