(James 1:12-17)

Blessed be the man who perseveres
while under trials and strife,
for if he does, he will receive
God’s precious Crown of Life! 

Let no one say when he’s tempted,
“The Lord has tempted me!”,
for God does not tempt anyone,
it’s our own flesh, you see! 

Every good thing and perfect gift
comes from the Lord above,
Who never changes what He does,
but gives us perfect love!
