Baptist Church Seized by Fatah
Christians in Gaza are asking believers around
the world to pray for them. Palestinian Authority (PA) police of the
Fatah party have seized the six-story Gaza Baptist Church building.
President of Open Doors USA Carl Moeller says, "They've taken
it over as a military out-post in their gun battle with the Hamas.
This situation is just terribly tragic because for so many
Christians that remain in Gaza, this was their only bright light.
This was their hope."

Researchers have begun a clinical study of oral insulin to prevent or delay type 1 diabetes in at-risk people, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced today. Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet, an NIH-funded network of researchers dedicated to the understanding, prevention, and early treatment of type 1 diabetes, is conducting the study in more than 100 medical centers across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

helps patients breathe easier
Researchers
at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada have discovered
that by combining helium with 40 per cent oxygen allowed patients
with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to increase their
exercise capacity by an average of 245 per cent. COPD is a disease
of the lungs caused by smoking and includes the conditions of
emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
