• Father charged with burning baby in microwave <- How HORRID!!!
  Mauldin initially told police the baby was burned when he stumbled and spilled hot water on her, according to the Houston Chronicle. Later, he said he placed the baby into the microwave oven because he was under stress, the newspaper said.

  The Missouri high court has ruled that parents, not the abortion provider, should be making the crucial health decisions for minors. Planned Parenthood argued that the case was about free speech; but Bev Ehlen with Concerned Women for America of Missouri says it is really about Planned Parenthood wanting to be able to do more abortions.

• Eighty Believers Arrested in Eritrea
  Eighty members, including the church's pastor, Zekarias Abraham, of the Mehrete Yesus Evangelical Presbyterian Church in the city of Asmara, were arrested by security forces following a worship service in their sanctuary on April 29, according to sources close to Voice of the Martyrs Canada.

  Comment by John Terry of Revelation Files:
  This is a disturbing (but eye-opening look) at the future plans of world domination being planned by Islam.  Their children are being indoctrinated to take control of the earth and to establish a global Islamic Caliphate (rule).  If the people in Washington DC have any lingering doubts as to the future plans of the so-called “peaceful” Islamic nations like Iran and Syria, then this article should serve as a wake-up call.  Hitler used similar tactics with the youth of Germany and in a very short season, raised up an army that very nearly conquered the world.  This time, their army is global in scope and their zeal and commitment to their cause is even greater, as it is an integral part of their religion (not just an allegiance to a charismatic figure like Hitler). And should a mystical figure soon rise to power, like the Mahdi (the Islamic counterpart to the antichrist), Muslims around the globe will rally by the millions to the cause of having Islam rule the world, and opposing all who stand in the way of Islamic global domination without hesitation.  Why? When your religion teaches that your own death (while perpetuating acts of violence against your enemy) guarantees you a special place in “heaven”, then followers are eager and willing to respond in great numbers.

• Deadly gunbattles rage in Gaza as Israel strikes
  In a move that could further spiral the internecine violence that has killed 38 people in four days, an Israeli aircraft bombed a Hamas training camp in Gaza, killing two people, after a barrage of militant rockets fired from the territory, medics and witnesses said. Gaza militants have been launching rockets against Israel since the start of the latest bout of Palestinian infighting on Sunday, with 23 landing inside the Jewish state, wounding two civilians and causing damage.

• Gaza militants intensify rocket fire at Israel <- Now how will they blame THIS on Israel???
  Palestinian militants launched at least five Gaza-made rockets at southern Israel Wednesday, two of which struck a house and a basketball court in the nearby town of Sderot, an Israeli military spokeswoman said. The military wing of the ruling Palestinian Hamas movement claimed responsibility.On Tuesday, Gaza militants fired 24 rockets at Israel, 10 of which struck Sderot, the military said, the highest number of Qassams fired in weeks.

• IDF holding major war simulation
  While the IDF refused to reveal details of the war game, defense sources said all military commands were participating in the weeklong exercise that included war on all of Israel's fronts - Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank. The drill not only is testing Israel's defensive posture in response to an Arab attack, but also simulates an Israeli offensive against Syria.

  No country besides Israel would allow incessant rocket attacks on its residents, said Opposition Leader MK Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud) on Wednesday. “The Olmert government has to break away from the paralysis and helplessness, and act against the rocket fire in order to provide an immediate solution for the protection of residents of Sderot and the area,” he said.

• Palestinian official: Abbas may announce state of emergency
  Palestinian deputy-prime minister, Azzam Al-Ahmad, said Wednesday that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas may announce a state of emergency if clashes in the Gaza Strip continued.

• Olmert to invite King Abdullah II to Israel
  Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expected to invite Jordan's King Abdullah II to visit Israel when the two meet later today. Vice Premier Shimon Peres will accompany Olmert on the trip, the two will first attend a Nobel Prize laureate conference in Petra and will then meet with the king in Aqaba later in the day.

• PM: I'm ready to negotiate Saudi peace plan with Arab leaders
  While visiting Jordan Tuesday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert invited 22 leaders of Arab nations to convene and invite Israel to negotiate the Saudi peace plan without preconditions. Olmert added that if they were willing to invite him somewhere for talks, then "I'm ready to come."
