You know, it's the oddest thing. The morning of my near fatal auto accident of June 6, 2007, before I left for work, the idea for this poem just "popped" into my head by the Spirit. I didn't have any idea why at the time, but began writing it anyway. I thought perhaps it was to give comfort to someone who had lost a loved one to death, but in the same token, I could have easily been killed in the accident, and didn't merely because as Father Yahweh states, "I will show compassion on whom I will show compassion, and I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy." (Romans 9:15) May it give comfort to those who need it, and joy and strength to those who may be going through it.
