Part 4

Isaiah 26 specifically states what happens when a person dies.

Isaiah 26:14- “They are dead, they will not rise…. And made all their memory to perish.”

From Funk and Wagnalls New Comprehensive International dictionary

The word "rise" is defined as: "To move upward; go from a lower to higher position."

The word "perish" is defined as: "To be destroyed; pass from existence."

Note: The conclusion drawn from what the scripture says is that no one is resurrected to heaven and the memory is no longer in a state of consciousness. If someone believes the body dies, but the soul is resurrected to heaven, wouldn't a logical conclusion be that the soul would have a memory? If true, the memory would still be in a state of consciousness at the time of death. Isaiah 26:14 contradicts this belief.
