Del’s Poem—Isaiah 9:6-7

 A child will be born to Israel,
His rule will be perfect and true.
Our Lord will build and uphold it,
justice and righteousness will ensue.

 He’s named Wonderful Counselor and Mighty God,
Eternal Father, and Prince of Peace.
On David’s throne and over his realm,
His government and peace will increase.

 His Beloved will finally know true peace
when the King of the Jews descends.
His rule over New Jerusalem
and His faithfulness never ends.
