Don't
Even Blink

There are times
when I worry - literally worry - documentation of something of
prophetic significance or interest may be present, hidden in
plain view, somewhere within a news story I overlook as I do my
near-daily crawl across the worldwide web - a reason why I read
more news stories than most people I know. What has made me so
suspicious/curious? The fact I find so many things that are
downright evil or significant buried within something which, on
the surface at least, seems relatively non-threatening or
"routine" news.
Take, for example, an American Family Association article on a federal court in Georgia's ruling that a disclaimer a school district placed on a science textbook, which read the following, was a constitutional violation:
"This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered."
For years, Darwin's theory of evolution has been called just that - a theory! So, what did this disclaimer state that hasn't been stated already --- and for years? Certainly nothing that isn't implied by Darwin's theory being called a THEORY! Even so, the disclaimer has been found to be unconstitutional. Why?
The ruling judge wrote the following concerning his ruling:
“By denigrating evolution, the School Board appears to be endorsing the well-known prevailing alternative theory, creationism or variations thereof . . . .” According to this reasoning, then, merely stating the unimpeachable fact that evolution is a theory and encouraging students to have an open mind, to study carefully, and to critically consider the theory is “denigrating” evolution. This, in the court’s mind, is tantamount to “endorsing” creationism or variations thereof."
Did anything in the judge's ruling particularly leap out at you? I don't know about you, but the fact the judge ruled against the disclaimer because it merely appears, in his opinion, to be an endorsement of the biblical truth of Creation simply blows my mind! I wonder what would happen if tomorrow I started arresting people, while performing my job as a police officer, because they appeared to be criminals? I'd be unemployed by Monday!
The judge wrote, in another section of his ruling, according to the American Family Association:
“An informed, reasonable observer would understand the School Board to be endorsing the viewpoint of Christian fundamentalists and creationists that evolution is a problematic theory lacking an adequate foundation.”
I totally agree with what Brian Fahling of the American Family Association says, in response to that section of the ruling. Fahling writes:
That statement speaks volumes about the federal judiciary’s unrelenting assault on all things Christian. Christian “fundamentalists” and “creationists” make for convenient whipping boys in lieu of reasoned analysis, even when they are calling for an open mind in scientific inquiry.
As Christians
living in the end times, we're accustomed to seeing our nation's
federal courts rule against anything in government or in our
schools that is determined to be an open endorsement of
Christianity, but the implications of the ruling issued
concerning this totally open-minded disclaimer are just plain
frightening to consider.
Are we going to begin seeing our federal judges make rulings like this in the future - rulings designed to keep our children from even considering the possibility there may be an alternative explanation --- any alternative explanation --- for our existence in the universe other than Charles Darwin's blasphemous theory of evolution? It's a new spin on an old problem --- one I admit I may have missed if I hadn't carefully examined the article's content.
Satan wants our school-aged children to continue being taught they are nothing other than animals, as opposed to little masterpieces created by a loving, holy, sinless God. Why? Because evolution plants a seed in children's sponge-like minds which could lead them to question whether there's a God, creating the possibility many who've been raised to believe this lie could be convinced the only hope for their future rests in the collective wisdom of mankind, as opposed to God. God help us!
Then, on a different note, there's the Fox News story which indicates the Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that singles in Virginia can now legally have sex outside marriage. In today's sexually evolved society, a news story like that isn't all that shocking, but what may be coming next may be quite shocking, especially in Virginia, which is a highly conservative state. The Fox News story states:
The unanimous ruling strongly suggests that a separate anti-sodomy law in Virginia also is unconstitutional, although that statute is not directly affected.
Already, based on the Fox News story, it appears the American Civil Liberties Union is ready to pounce on the opportunity the Virginia Supreme Court's ruling has given them to attempt to repeal Virginia's sodomy laws.
Kent Willis, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union in Virginia, is quoted in the article as saying, "It's a strong message to legislators that they must repeal Virginia's sodomy law. Now both the U.S. Supreme Court and the Virginia Supreme Court have spoken on essentially the same issue."
Satan is intent on doing whatever he can to get mankind to live in rebellion against God. As such, it's no surprise we see the godless ACLU (the Anti-Christian Liberties Union as I like to call it) preparing to attack Virginia's sodomy laws next.
As a police
officer, I can attest to the fact sexual laws are rarely, if
ever, enforced in Virginia as a result of the sexual activities
of consenting adults, however, the existence of these
laws makes a statement as to the moral convictions of a majority
of Virginians - moral convictions we hope to see passed on to
the next generation of Virginians.
The Bible tells us the end times will be filled with sexual immorality. With every law that vanishes from the law books of our nation, originally designed to prevent our nation from descending into sexual deviancy, Satan's stranglehold on our nation is increased, placing it in jeopardy of God's wrath falling! Have we forgotten how God reacted to Sodom and Gomorrah's rampant sexual misconduct? Apparently so, but this is what the believer has been told to expect to take place in the prophecies of the Bible.
Then there's the Fox News story dealing with the World Health Organization's concerns millions of people around the world are going to suffer psychological damage as a result of the recent Asian tsunamis which killed over 150,000 people. The story states the following, in part:
The disaster also subjected people worldwide to horrific photos and TV images of destruction, something never seen before on such a scale, Danzon said.
"We are witnessing for the first time a globalization of such images and I am sure that they will mark the mentality of people everywhere," he said.
It isn't hard to see why most of us have been impacted by the Asian tsunamis, with many permanently scarred by the images they saw on television. Do you recall how you felt when you saw the first news footage of the disaster? I know I do. I don't mind admitting I was (and remain) disturbed by what I saw.
In the second chapter of 2nd Thessalonians, we're told many who have rejected the Gospel of Jesus Christ will fall victim to a great delusion which will befall unrepentant mankind when the Antichrist arrives on the world stage during the aftermath of the Rapture of the Church "with all power and signs and lying wonders."
Imagine for a moment the impact the Rapture event is going to have on the world in the prophetic future. How confused and frightened is everyone going to be when every news network around the globe begins showing footage (and you can be sure there will be lots of it to see) of people vanishing in a twinkling of an eye without explanation? Can you imagine the tears that will be shed as people try to sort out what has happened? Can you imagine the disarray that will exist in every facet of mankind's existence when people from every profession and walk of life vanish without a trace? It will be a traumatic event of incredible proportions!
Could the great delusion we're told will fall on mankind come about as a direct result of the psychological damage mankind will suffer when the Rapture event takes place? I certainly think it's a possibility, especially when we consider the demonically-influenced Antichrist will be using his power, signs, and lying wonders to provide desperate mankind hope --- hope, perhaps, that he will be able to prevent a "disaster" like the Rapture from ever taking place again --- or something like that.
The Tribulation Period is going to see twenty-one specific judgments from God fall on unrepentant, rebellious mankind over a period of seven years. These judgments will come in three waves of seven judgments each, with each subsequent series of judgments being more severe than the previous series.
The Tribulation Period is going to be one traumatic event after another for those living in it. How, in the midst of the death, chaos, horror, and confusion of the Tribulation Period, will those who were never willing to seriously consider their need to come to faith in Jesus Christ find the time or stability of mind to logically reason that they need to then? The answer, sadly, is many of them won't, according to the Scriptures.
If millions globally have been permanently scarred psychologically by simply viewing images of the Asian tsunami disaster on television, what will the effect of a rapid-fire succession of bizarre events and plagues be on those left behind when God's judgment begins falling on men and women of each and every tribe, tongue, and nation around the world? I believe one of the effects mankind will experience during those times will be a sense of desperation so severe many will be looking for anything or anyone to give them hope. As we look at Bible prophecy, we see there will be two charismatic personalities in mankind's time of need who will, seemingly, have all the answers - the Antichrist and his False Prophet.
Stay sober and alert, saints!
Keep your eyes wide open in these interesting times we're living in. If you even blink, you may miss something of prophetic significance or, at the very least, something of prophetic interest. I believe everything that's going on in our world today, from the politics of our world to the wild weather taking place around the globe to bizarre natural disasters like the Asian tsunamis, are conditioning the world for a future period of change unlike any ever witnessed in the annals of recorded history.
Keep looking up! Jesus Christ is coming soon!
