The final Jewish exodus begins

"The Insider" mailing list article, 28 July 2004.

The Israeli government has called on all Jews "around the world" to move to Israel immediately.

The mass media is portraying this as a European or French phenomenon, and the French government is said to be unhappy about it, but this is grossly misleading. The Israeli government's message is clearly directed at all the world's Jews, and neither France nor any other country or region has been singled out. Many thousands of Jews migrate to Israel every year from all corners of the Earth.

The Hebrew scriptures describe an event called "Exodus" in which the first Israelites emigrated from Egypt to Israel to avoid persecution. This belief is shared by Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike. But archaeologists and historians do not all accept the scripture as sufficient proof that the event literally happened.

The parallels between current events and the Bible are not limited to the historical Exodus. According to prophecies in which Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe, large numbers of Jews will travel to Israel when the time has come for Judgement Day and the End of the World.

These are the End Times prophecies, and billions of people throughout the world believe that they will recognise the signs when the Last Day is near.
