Gifts of the Spirit
(I Corinthians 12:8-11)

There are a lot of different gifts,
but the Spirit is the same.
They are all for the common good,
and I’ll list them here by name.

There is the gift of WISDOM,
(King Solomon had this for sure).
There is the gift of KNOWLEDGE;
the FAITH, which will endure.

There is the gift of HEALING
by our precious Savior’s blood.
There is the gift of MIRACLES,
like the stopping of a flood.

There is the gift of PROPHECY,
spreading Jehovah’s word a lot!
And the spirit of DISCERNMENT…
(is this one “of God”, or not?)

There is the gift of TONGUES,
and of INTERPRETING the same.
But the giver of all these gifts
is the Holy Spirit by name.

The Spirit of God works all these things,
the gifts are given out one by one.
He gives them individually,
so that Jehovah’s work is done!
