Chapter 41

What to Do When You Are Experiencing Fear

He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.  You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.  A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you. 

Psalm 91:4-7

Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for Yahweh will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.

Proverbs 3:25-26

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

Romans 8:15

Yahweh is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  Yahweh is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?  Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, in spite of this I shall be confident.

Psalm 27:1, 3

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.
