*May 9, 2004* Three Month Anniversary of Trinity's Arrival Into Eternity My Tribute To Trinity Justine Cecile Marie Janzen-Jadunath December 1, 2000-February 9, 2004 ~Let the little Children come unto me, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 19:14.~ There are not enough words to describe Trinity. A much anticipated child and grandchild. She bestowed upon me the Grandmother Title. We as grandparents, were privileged to have weekly contact with her from the beginning, such as frequent visits, sleepovers and sharing meals. Once she could walk, she would get her late night energy bursts and run around the our coffee table, finish off the visit with a dance in Opa's arms, and fall asleep on his shoulder to Abba Music! Other nights we would look at the stars and the moon. She never wanted to go to bed early, she didn't want to miss out on life. Trinity and I would go out on treasure hunts around the neighborhood, that would take us hours of fun! Discovering bugs, pick black berries, collect stones, pick wild flowers, observe shapes and textures of trees and learned the names of flowers! She was very curious about learning what a license plate and house numbers were. We would observe the shapes of clouds and the colours of sunsets. Once back home, she would arrange the wild flowers we picked, and put them into a vase, add a little water, sugar and a penny to keep them fresh longer! She loved to go to Bear Creek Park. We fed chickadees, and one sat on her hand to pick up a peanut. Swinging was her absolute favorite attraction at the park!!! She also enjoyed watching cars go over speed bumps in the parking lots and we always had to push her stroller over them too!! We discovered her special interest in language skills, and the ability to learn new difficult words. Which we began to record in a specially designated book! When she learned a new word, she would say excitedly, " Get Book!!" This started at a very young age, just after turning one. She always had a great yearning to learn everything! Since birth she heard us pray for her and Bless her with Scripture. As we often told her, "Trinity, May God bless and keep you, shine His face upon you and be gracious to you, and give you Peace." Numbers 6:24. I taught her that the Bible is a wonderful book, in which God tells us of His love. It has promises, blessings and commandments. The Promise: That the Lord God will help you. Isaiah 50:9. The Commandment: Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ephesians 6:1. We encouraged her to obey right away! That became our little motto when she wanted to do her own thing. We taught her that she was very precious: I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows right well. Psalm 139:13-14. She memorized the Lords Prayer and knew how to sing it to, before she was 2 years old. We began to take her to church, she loved the orchestra, choir and congregational singing, while excitedly clapping her hands and lifting them up in praise! "When we sing that Hallelujah song, it makes me feel happy in here." Pointing at her heart. By the time she was three, she memorized 34 Bible verses and many songs and choruses. We know that Gods Word Blessed and strengthened her Spirit. After church on many occassions, we would take her to the Knight and Day Restaurant for Brunch. She would order grapes and chick peas. Life was full of fun, joy and laughter!! Just 8 days shy of her second birthday, we noticed that she would bruise and they wouldn't disappear. A doctors appointment led us to blood work done at British Columbia's Children's Hospital, that revealed the nightmarish diagnoses of a rare kind of leukemia, Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, AML-M7. Only someone who's been there, knows what it is like. Life as we knew it, would change all of us, forever...... We had to helplessly watch Trinity go through physical unspeakable sufferings. She endured the emotional stress of huge numbers of nursing staff and family member care rotations. Isolation and lonliness and the sense of abandonment came with the territory of treatment. She would always say, " You always go away!" and would ask, " Are you going to cry for me?" The hardest thing was to be separated from her closest friend, that being her mommy. When she would cry, she would say, " Dab, dab my tears." Trinity had an indomitable spirit, a fighters spirit!!! She learned to adapt and grow to her surroundings. She learned the names of her hospital room medical equipment and her medication names too! She would say, " I have a new vocabulary word!!" Her vocabulary grew to such words as, Sphygmomanometer, which is the medical term for the blood pressure machine, which she could clearly say by age two!! And by the age of three she could also say the word Electroencephalogram, which is the test for brain waves, EEG for short! She was a very smart, brainy girl who definately fooled many in the medical profession, thinking she was close to age five, when actually she only just turned 3 on Dec.1, 2003!! She made her parents very proud! I began to teach her that God didn't give her the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7. I prayed with her before her medical procedures and dressing changes. ( A great source of distress to her.) In time, she became less fearful and more confidant. She learned to negotiate for a later time or do it right away! Trinity was a bright child and was bilingual. She knew the days of the week in Portuguese, German and English. She knew the names of coins, and to the delight of the nurses, she knew Queen Elizabeth's full name too! The Canadian Map, Provinces and Capital cities was a project she also started to learn. The anticipation of visitors was a highlight of her day! She would wake up at 6 am asking where her visitors were!! We are soooooooo thankful for our earth Angels that came to visit Trinity during her hospital stay. You all have no idea what a Blessing and a great help you all have been! And we thank you till this day! Trinity was captured by prayer and asked for it often! We read scriptures to her from Revelation 21:4-6. The Lord will wipe away all tears, there will be no more death, crying and suffering, all these things shall pass away. She said one day to me, "Oma, I am tired of this business." pointing to her body. Trinity, you lived life very well, you were an over comer! Your attributes were, strength of character, excellence in all things and a thirst to learn, live, love and laugh!! Through suffering she learned compassion, sharing, self control and deference. Trinity memorized God's Word and lived it at her tender age. Her favorite Bible Story was, Blind Bartimaeus' Healing. Mark 10:46. Trinity, rest from your earthly suffering and pain. The Lord Jesus has dabbed away all your tears and given you a white gown, just like you wished for!! I will be there soon too and we will sing Hallelujah together forever. " I love you forever, I like you always, as long as I live, my Baby you'll be!!" My much Loved and Highly prized Bienschen! Thank you for saying, "Bye" to all of us, just before you flew away into eternity, you will never be forgotten, we love you!!!! With much Love from your one and only Oma Janzen. We all look forward to the day when we will all be together, again, for eternity!! ~This Tribute is Dedicated to the Memory of Trinity Justine Cecile Marie Janzen-Jadunath.~ ~Written by her Grandmother, Tania Janzen~ Fly, Trinity, Fly!!!!!!!!!! *May 9, 2004* |
