It's only the 3rd of December and already I'm failing to find the 2004 winter holiday season merry and bright, even though there are many pretty winter holiday lights blinking and twinkling in my neighborhood. It isn't that I don't enjoy putting up the winter holiday tree, adorning it with all my family's lovely winter holiday ornaments and decorations. It just seems that something is missing from my winter holiday experience thus far. Perhaps, some winter holiday carolers will soon stop by my house to sing some winter holiday songs, spreading the joyous news that unto us a..... uh....winter holiday season has come yet again.
Are you feeling sick to your stomach yet? If not, you should be because the spirit of antichrist is alive and well in 2004.
1st John 2:18: Little
children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall
come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the
last time.
1st John 4:3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Satan's little elves are showing up all over the place, attempting to strip every reference to Jesus Christ from view during the CHRISTMAS season. Their hope? To prevent mankind from acknowledging Christ's birth on the earth, thus denying Christ the glory and honor He deserves for leaving the Majesty of Heaven to walk among men that, through Him, we might all be saved!
Consider the following examples of this taking place found in the news stories of today:
Fox News is reporting Denver's mayor has reversed an earlier decision to replace Denver's MERRY CHRISTMAS sign with a HAPPY HOLIDAYS sign. Even so, according to a WorldNetDaily story, a Christian church group remains banned from Denver's Parade of Lights for seeking to put Christ into Christmas.
Yahoo News is reporting Sydney Australia's mayor, Clover Moore, has been cast as the Grinch who stole Christmas after decorating her city's town hall with just one meager Christmas tree --- out of fear of offending non-Christians. Residents of Sydney awakened recently to see the following headline on The Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Where's Our Christmas?"
Raiders News Update is running a story reporting Christmas is being referred to as the "C-word" in the Scarborough School District in Maine. A mother is quoted in the story as saying her son is having to bite his tongue not to say "Merry Christmas" to a classmate, apparently out of fear he'll get in trouble if he does.
Locally, a town in my area has renamed its Christmas parade the "Holiday" parade. What is the ambiguous "holiday" the majority of those who will go see the town's parade will be celebrating later this month? CHRISTMAS, of course! So, why not call a CHRISTMAS parade a CHRISTMAS parade? Political correctness, of course.
It's far better, in today's politically correct world (influenced greatly by Satan), to alienate Christians, in order to protect the feelings of a handful of godless individuals (who are not required to attend a CHRISTMAS parade to have their godless feelings hurt in the first place), than to call a CHRISTMAS parade a CHRISTMAS parade. Thus, the citizens of many towns and cities all over America and the world will be gathering to enjoy a politically correct, non-offensive Holiday parade in 2004. You may even, unknowingly, be planning to attend one in your hometown.
Although I am sickened by the efforts of the godless to strip every reference to Christ from the CHRISTMAS season to the point of nausea, I am comforted when I recall that Scripture teaches us each and every enemy of God, from the weak, trying to appease a handful of wicked men and women who seek to dishonor the birth of JESUS CHRIST, to those who outwardly hate all that is Christ-like in the world, will someday bow before the glorified Christ three wise men once traveled many miles to bow before in the days after His birth in human flesh!
Romans 14:11-12: For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
On Judgment Day, many a wicked individual will find themselves wishing they'd honored Christ with their every breath, but it will be too late. Ironically, many of those who will find themselves experiencing that sad, hopeless feeling are yucking it up now, basking in the glory of their Happy Winter Holiday Season! In contrast, the believer, currently saddened by the lack of respect the Savior is getting from the world He bled and died on the cross to save, will be rejoicing in a place where the joy of Christmas will be present throughout all eternity in the person of Jesus Christ Himself.
How sweet is that to imagine? Sweeter than a CHRISTMAS cookie!
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
