“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and shall see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them, for Yahweh your Elohim, who brought you up from the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt], is with you. (Deuteronomy 20:1)
An oracle. The word of Yahweh concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem. It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:1-3)
“And the house of Jacob [ISRAEL] shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, but the house of Esau [PALESTINIANS] for stubble. And they shall burn among them and they shall consume them, so that no survivor is left of the house of Esau.” For YHWH has spoken. (Obadiah 1:18)
