Peggy,
I’m so sorry to hear about your broken hand. Two months ago I fell and
broke my left wrist! I probably could type better with my right hand
than with my left, unless, of course, you are left-handed! I kept
the cast on for 6 weeks, and then it came off and a temporary cast was given
to me.
However,
I soon realized that virtually none of the swelling had gone away, and my
range of motion was extremely limited. So I am going back to the doctor
on Monday to see if he will send me to physical therapy. Also needed to
have told you that about 3-4 months ago, I had had my shoulders checked out
because they were giving me pain. Result of that was being told that
Both socket joints needed to be replaced! He said I could wait, but that
was the only solution. Because of my inactivity because of my wrist,
both shoulders are giving me fits as well.
I
do not doubt that my fall could have been much worse, but this has been bad
enough! Surely has made me look at handicapped people a lot more and
realize that the truly do have a very serious handicap!
I
hope you can take off from work for the duration of your cast!!!
Looking
for Jesus more than ever!!!
Marie
