I wanted to tell you about some awesome, but odd, "touches" from the Father lately.  If you remember, I had been placing prayer requests on 5 Doves for about 3 weeks, because my left ankle/foot kept swelling.  At first there was quite a bit of pain in my left Achilles' tendon, and after the doctor examined it, he told me he felt a blood clot in it, and sent me to the diagnostic lab to have an ultrasound run on it.  The lab checked my left leg from the groin to my foot, and there was NOTHING found (this was only about 2 hours later!!!).  And when the cardiologist read the results the next day, sure enough, there was nothing there!!!  Hallelujah, what a physician our Lord is!!!

However, the following 2 weekends, the same foot swelled again (about twice the size of the right ankle), but this time, there was no pain at all... just swelling!  I returned to the doctor, who told me that it appears that my body is not ridding itself of the fluid that it produces, so he prescribed a diuretic.  The diuretic is working great!!!

 

During this 3-week period of time, I have felt the Spirit in a really odd location in my body... the left side below my left breast... FOUR times so far!  I pulled up a chart of the human anatomy.  The only thing located there is my spleen.

Apparently, there had been something wrong with my spleen that He, in His lovingkindness, saw fit to heal for me!  I looked up the functions of the spleen, and guess what the primary function is?  Ridding the body of FLUIDS!!!  Do we serve an awesome God, or what???
