To Mama, With Love

(Mother's Day 2006)

She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her, saying: "Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. (Proverbs 31:26-31)

Dearest Mama:

I want to thank you, first of all, for adopting me when I was 2 weeks old… if it hadn't been for your constant care during my illness, I may not have made it to be 53 years old!

I want to thank you for always being there to listen to me, and talk things over with me. I want to thank you, most of all, for raising me to know our Father and our Savior, for without your raising, and YOUR love for them, I may not have come to love Them as I do!

I want to thank you for your generosity, your love, your honesty, your helpfulness, the love you have for your brothers & sisters in Christ, which you've also passed on to me.

I want you to know that I give all the credit to the Lord, to you, and to Daddy for making me into the person I am today.  I want to thank you for being one of my very best friends all these years.

And I want you to know that I will love you throughout eternity, because you are not only my Mama, whom I love dearly, but also my sister in Christ. It will be an honor and a pleasure to spend eternity with you!

All my love forever!

Peggy
