On the Outside, Looking In

If Yeshua were to call today
to take us Home for good,
you'd think you were a child of God
and that you understood...

when really you aren't saved at all,
but drowning in your sins;
you'd find yourself just standing
on the outside, looking in.

After all, you always went to church,
and did good to one and all;
you went to confession every week,
who'd have known that you would fall?

When you stand before the Throne,
you'll understand that you can't win,
and you'll find yourself just standing
on the outside, looking in.

You think because you use His Name
when spouting forth His Word,
that you are His, yet you believe
the Truth to be absurd.

Your chances will be over then,
you can't come back again,

and you'll find yourself just standing
on the outside, looking in.

None of this will save you,
for you must be born again,
and receive the blood of Yeshua
as a covering for your sins.

And now He's coming back real soon,
you never know just when.

And you'll find yourself just standing
on the outside, looking in.
