On This Blessed Thanksgiving Day

On this blessed Thanksgiving Day,
we give thanks to the Lord above,
for all His many blessings,
and most especially His love!

 For sending us His precious Son
as the payment for our sins,
and for sending us His Spirit
to lead and abide within.

 For the feasts He puts before us,
for the clothes we have to wear,
for the jobs He’s blessed us with, and
for giving us those who care.

 For the roof that covers our heads,
for His Word to lead us through;
for loving us the way we are,
for directing all we do.

 For giving us Eternal Life
for confessing Christ as Lord;
for eternity spent with Him
is the greatest of rewards!

 All things are His, give thanks to Him,
take a moment to bow your head,
and thank Him over and over;
we’re alive, though we were dead!
