THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

The Lord knows them that are his by name, but we must know them by their character.  Matthew Henry

GUEST ARTICLE: JAPAN’S CONNECTION TO ISRAEL :

I have picked up from various sources the following information. As we believers know, any who have consistently gone against Israel’s right to their land eventually pays a stiff price. I am not nor would I ever say the poor people of Japan deserve this- but we have seen this happen before. God still judges nations that try to part HIS land. Do we deny God’s right to judge those who fight against His plan?

Backing up- Last year October 11th, 2010:  Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad inaugurated and corner-stoned the Jericho Agro Industrial Park’s nfrastructure projects funded by the Government of Japan.

As part of Jericho 10,000 Program, on October 11th, 2010, a ceremony was held at the future site of Jericho Agro-Industrial Park (JAIP) with attendance of (Palestinian)Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, for the inauguration of the rehabilitation of part of Mahmoud Darwish Street and for the ground-breaking of JAIP land reclamation. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Naofumi Hashimoto, Representative of Japan to the PNA, Mr. Kamel Hemaid, Governor of Jericho and Mr. Hassan Saleh, Mayor of Jericho.

This road rehabilitation is the first infrastructure project to facilitate the traffic in the southern Jericho. Both projects are funded by the Government of Japan with the amount of USD 3.1 million approximately. JAIP is a core project to materialize the concept of creating the Corridor for Peace and Prosperity, which was proposed by Japan, as mid-and-long term efforts for its contribution to the co-existence and co-prosperity of Palestinians and their neighboring countries through cooperation among them. (This is Japan’s answer to the Road Map and also demands a 2-state solution with Israel giving up large sectors of land for peace.)  Japan is firmly committed to support the establishment of a viable Palestinian state, and believes that for achieving such goal, a solid basis of sustainable Palestinian economy is indispensable. Japan will support this project of JAIP as part of the PNA Government Program “Homestretch to Freedom”, through continuously working together with Palestinian side as well as with the other partners of Israel and Jordan, in order to start its operation by the end of 2012.

Jan. 11, 2011: Statement by Mr. Seiji Maehara, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, condemns the demolishing of a part of the Shepherd’s Hotel in E. Jerusalem to construct housing for Jewish people

Japan condemns the demolishing of a part of the Shepherd’s Hotel (*Arab) in East Jerusalem with a view to constructing new housing units for Jewish people. Japan does not recognize any unilateral measures that prejudge the final resolution on pre-1967 borders, nor does Japan recognize the annexation of East Jerusalem by Israel. In this regard, Japan urges Israel to refrain from any unilateral act that could change the existing conditions of East Jerusalem. Ambassador Yutaka Iimura, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East, who was in Israel, has already informed Israeli Government officials of Japanese views.

Feb. 8, 2011: Statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan, on measures by Israel on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip -Japan welcomes the series of economic measures announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Quartet Representative Tony Blair on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.  Japan hopes that based on this announcement, measures will be fully and promptly implemented for economic growth as well as for the improvement of the social and living conditions in the Palestinian territories, particularly the Gaza Strip.  Japan will pay close attention to any developments surrounding this matter.  Japan also hopes that these measures will enhance the mutual trust between the Israeli and Palestinian sides, although they are not a substitute for negotiations for Middle East peace. Japan, for its part, calls upon both parties to exert further efforts for the resumption of peace negotiations.

Feb. 10, 2011: Statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan, concerned over housing in E. Jerusalem for Jewish people

The Government of Japan is concerned about the Jerusalem municipal planning committee’s approval of a plan to build housing units for Jewish people in the Sheih Jarrah of East Jerusalem. Such act goes against the efforts by the international community to resume the negotiations. The Government of Japan does not recognize any act that prejudges the final status of the territories in the pre-1967 borders nor Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem.  Japan urges Israel to refrain from any unilateral act that changes the current situation in East Jerusalem.

Mar. 11, 2011: Statement by Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the decision of the Government of Israel regarding the construction of housing units at settlements in West Bank including East Jerusalem. The Government of Japan deplores the decisions of the Government of Israel to give permission for the construction of 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem in addition to 112 units in West Bank just after the Israeli and Palestinian leadership’s acceptance of the start of indirect talks. The Government of Japan does not recognize any act that prejudges the final status of Jerusalem and the territories in the pre-1967 borders. Japan demands that the plans should not be implemented.  The Government of Japan continues to request strongly that both parties will act in a way that enhances mutual confidence. Japan sincerely hopes that the indirect talks in the peace process will swiftly develop into the resumption of direct talks between the two parties.  That’s some pretty strong language–language imposed against God’s people and God’s land.  So what happened next???

Mar. 11, 2011: Quake moved Japan coast 8 feet; The Island of Japan drops two feet! The Earth's axis is shifted by 4 inches.

We must understand that when a nation’s leaders issue proclamations/declarations that are in direct opposition and disobedience to the will of God, that nation is being set up to receive God’s judgment.  The nation of Japan has not only jumped on the “2-state-solution-band-wagon” to try to bring about peace in the Middle East, but has joined the U.S. and most of the rest of the nations of the world by stepping over into the realm of condemning the nation of Israel and attempting to force their will into Israel’s national and foreign policies.  This is a most dangerous place for leaders to put  their citizens, for God’s Word is very explicit concerning those who “curse” Israel.

Gen 12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Take note of the Japanese governments stand concerning Israel relinquishing what it recovered during the 1967 Six Day War.

Bye for now. Your news lady,
