Above are photos of my new blessing... my new HHR! It's hard to tell in the photos, but it is Majestic Amethyst Metallic colored. And drives like a veritable dream! Seriously, though, HHR's have a 5-star crash rating, get 34 mpg freeway and 27 mpg city, and are considered to be the safest SUV anywhere! All important features, considering my above Neon! Click HERE to read responses to my prayer request.  Included are responses from my 5 Doves brothers & sisters, as well as my precious coworkers in various locations. Click HERE to read a poem I was inspired to write to Father Yahweh last year. It's entitled "Yahweh Takes Care of His Own". Ah, and here's another prime example of His care for His children, with my precious husband, Richard!  Click HERE to read about it! This is one of MANY prime examples with Richard! In the 11 years we've been together, Richard has had many heart attacks, he's had 13 angioplasties/stents, was two days short of bleeding to death, literally broke his neck, had a stationary mass the size of a golf ball behind his breastplate, and has had three open-heart surgeries. June has always been a VERY trying month for us in the past, and this year I prayed Father Yahweh would consider it being ME this year, and not Richard! Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it! <<grins>>. See why I love Him so much??? Richard is definitely my soulmate! Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
The messenger of Yahweh encamps all around those who fear Him, And rescues them. (Psalm 34:7)
What then shall we say to this? If Elohim is for us, who is against us? (Romans 8:31)
And Satan answered Yahweh and said, “Is Job fearing Elohim for naught? “Have You not made a hedge around him, and around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. (Job 1:9-10)
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor messengers nor principalities nor powers, neither the present nor the future, nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of Elohim which is in Messiah Yahshua our Master. (Romans 8:38-39)

Saturday, 6/30/07, 4:11 a.m.:

Since I am returning to work Monday, after almost a month of short-term disability, this will more than likely be my final installment on this page. I decided, therefore, to recap the things that probably brought this accident on (from my Father's perspective, that is, since He tends to answer my prayers exactly how I ask Him... you'd think after 54 years, I'd learn this, right? <<grins>>), then, since Romans 8:28 (above) is a truism, I decided to also list how Father Yahweh turned this potentially HORRID situation (should have been deadly, were it not for His loving care for His own! [Romans 9:15 - For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.]). Here are the things I asked Him for: (1) I told Him I really was grateful for the little red Neon He had provided me with, but that it was a concern to me because of its small size... didn't He wish I had a PT Cruiser or an HHR?; (2) Since it seems that every year, usually in June, something really bad happens with us... usually Richard's heart in the form of a heart attack or worse... would He please consider taking me instead of Richard this year. I have been praying this all year long. Sure enough... 6/6/07, a near fatal car wreck for me!; (3) As an Executive Secretary, I had worked late the Friday before the accident, all day that Saturday, all day that Sunday, and late that Monday, getting a large report out to one of our clients. I was tired beyond belief... so I told Father Yahweh how incredibly tired I was, and would He please see that I get some much needed rest!!! Every one of these requests were answered as a result of this accident!

Now for the blessings that came out of the accident. (1) When Caldwell Country Chevrolet's finance company agreed to finance us, they insisted that we come up with at LEAST $500 down payment, since we no longer had a car to turn in to them. We had NO idea how our Father was going to come up with this money for us, but knew that He would because He is faithful and knows our needs before they are ever even "needs". We had to come up with it in a month. Inside of 24 hours, He had provided us with the entire down payment PLUS a little extra!!! (2) Since our HHR payment is more per month than our Neon payment was, Richard has determined that he needs to get at least a part-time job to help with expenses. Please pray Father Yahweh will bring about the perfect job for Richard soon. Due to all his many heart problems, he can't have a job where a lot of physical labor is involved, but would very much like one where walking was a factor, like the hospital job I had asked prayer for yesterday (see Prayers for Other page). Since HHR's have such marvelous safety factors, and such a marvelous crash rating, our auto insurance went DOWN, and the monthly premium was already low!!! (3) I dearly needed some time to recover from number (3) in the first paragraph... He provided me with just shy of a month of short-term disability (full salary for the entire time!!!). (4) The outcome of this accident provided Richard & I with the perfect opportunity to share His love and care of His children with others... I pray that many were made aware of His love and care through our testimony. This accident was so horrendous (the photos above don't do it justice!) that it should have been fatal... and for me to have literally walked out of it with NO internal injuries, and only multiple bruises and a fractured right hand (I'm left-handed), was a miracle of gigantic proportions! I'm sure there's more I'm not thinking of, but these items come to mind immediately.  All praise, honor and glory be to Him for all eternity! May Richard & I be pleasing to Him with each passing day, and may He use us to His glory, as He sees fit, until He sends His Son back to take us Home! Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Wednesday, 6/27/07, 4:37 a.m.:

I just want to thank everyone who prayed for me during my recovery period. The Lord is healing me more rapidly than I could imagine, and first of all, I want to thank Him. It is truly miraculous that I went through that accident with no serious long-lasting injuries, and His loves for His children is truly mind-boggling. Secondly, my GF Linda reminded me of something that occurred the morning of the accident that I had forgotten to share with you, though it was a really odd occurrence. Richard bought me a necklace of Yahweh's name written in Hebrew 2-3 years ago, and I wore it faithfully every day. It was a prized possession of mine. You can see most of it in this picture. After the accident the morning of 6/6/07, not long after I arrived at the hospital, I was taken to the x-ray lab to have my chest, hand, etc., x-rayed for internal injuries. The x-ray tech helped me remove my blouse and jewelry so she could x-ray me, and noticed that my necklace was still hooked around my neck... minus the Tetragammon (Father Yahweh's name). That was the only things I lost during the accident. I never found the Tetragammon when Richard rummaged through the wreckage, which was highly disappointing to me, but wasn't too expensive to repurchase. Another thing I'd like to share with you is my penchant for not being specific when I ask Him for things. You would think after 54 years of Him answering my prayers exactly how I ask Him, I would have learned to be specific, but nooooooooo, not me! <<grins>> I've learned not to ask Him for a new car, more rest, or to consider taking my life if He must take either mine or Richard's (just kidding about that part... I would gladly give my life if it meant saving Richard's!). <<grins>> Tell ME He doesn't have a sense of humor! This will more than likely be my last "accident" update before I return to work on Monday. May He be praised forever for the care and love He has shown to me and Richard, and may we soon meet in the clouds to be with Him forever! Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Monday, 6/25/07, 12:52 p.m.:

OK, just got back from the doctor's office. He said I still have trauma on my whole right side, which is what has been causing such pain. It's just something that's going to take about 6-8 weeks to completely heal. He told me to get back on my pain pills every 6 hours, then to even take one at night before bed when I go back to work. That way I won't wake up hurting so badly. He says I'm healing well. He removed the stitches from the back of my head (not a very pleasant experience, although the doctor at the hospital had only put TWO stitches... yea!!! He checked out my stomach where I had the hard lumps. He said it's just dried blood under the skin, and will heal itself in time. He said my hand is looking better, too, and to keep wearing my splint until it's healed. Then right as we were pulling into our driveway, I had to sneeze... OMG, I felt like my chest was on fire!!!  The pain that went through me is not to be believed! I'm just grateful I don't sneeze very often, and that Father Yahweh doesn't let me catch colds or flu! Needless to say, as soon as I got into the house, I took a doggoned pain pill! I guess some things just can't be helped! I will be returning to work on Monday. Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Monday, 6/25/07, 5:50 a.m.:

Good morning! Unfortunately I did not get my sleep out (only 5 hours), because I awoke at 3:30, had to go to the bathroom, and my right side was hurting (that's the side I usually sleep on). And I can't go back to bed, because my doctor's appointment is at 10:30 this morning, and I still have to post my updates, check the links, take a shower, wash my hair, and get ready so we can leave here at 9:30. This is Day 3 of no pain pills (I had to stop taking them to get the codeine out of my system before I have to return to work), so I've been just taking regular OTC pain medication (Percogesics) for pain. Most of my pains have disappeared, and the bruising is almost totally gone, but my upper chest (pretty bad), right side (moderate), and between my shoulder blades (pretty bad), and of course my hand (pretty bad). I also still have the hard spot on my stomach, from my left side to my belly button, horizontally, even though the bruising has all but disappeared?  I will write more after my doctor's appointment, so you will know the outcome of my visit. I could use the rest of the week off to get more rest and get the codeine completely out of my system, but His will be done... he knows my needs and what's right for me. Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Friday, 6/22/07, 7:10 a.m.:

Good morning! It was a 1-pillow night again last night! HalleluYAH!!! It was also easier for me to get out of bed this morning, so it appears I'm on the mend. My chest and hand still hurt (my hand is still swollen) pretty badly, but they will heal with time and with Father Yahweh's loving hands! This 2+ week rest has done wonders! My company has been wonderful, and I've been placed on short-term disability until my doctor releases me to return to work... with full pay! What a blessing!!! Richard is actually going to have to let me drive this morning. We need to return the rental car, so he has to drive it, and I'm forced to drive my new HHR... awwwww! <<smiles>> He'll be driving it back, but at least I get to drive it there (about 40 minutes away). We had a very nice visit yesterday with my Mom and Aunt! They were able to stay for about 3 hours. Mama brought Popeye's chicken and Aunt Gladys May made her wonderful pasta salad (recipe is found on my Salad page). We looked at old photos of family members, drank coffee, and just had a great visit! My reassessment is Monday, and then I will know when I'll be allowed to return to work. Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Thursday, 6/21/07, 6:20 a.m.:

Good morning! I was actually able to sleep LAYING DOWN with one pillow last night! I'd been sleeping in almost a complete sitting position with about 5 pillows propped up behind me. Talk about back and neck aches! Sheeeeeesh! This morning, my chest and hand hurt, but at least the back and neck were OK. I'm praying that by the time I see the doctor on Monday to reassess my condition my chest and hand won't be hurting this badly. If I have to cough or sneeze, it's like someone stuck a knife in my upper chest and slid it back and forth! My GOD, that hurts! I just swallowed coffee down the wrong hole, and my chest is on fire! I have to be able to drive the 3 hours a day necessary to take me to/from work, and can't do it with this kind of pain. Mama's coming to stay the day with us for the day... yea! It's been a long time since I've seen her, since she lives near where I work. I'm really looking forward to it... she's a special lady whom I dearly love! Please don't forget to pray for her weight loss problem (see Prayers for Illness page). Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Wednesday, 6/20/07, 11:23 a.m.:

Good morning! I slept hard last night, got up at 5 a.m., and went back to sleep from 7:30-9:30! I need to get THAT out of my system before I return to work (probably next week, it's up to the doc)! We need to have siestas like they do in Mexico! <<grins>> Well, I got smart and took my first pain pill when I got up at 5:00, so I was just able to take another. Maybe this will prevent me from feeling like I'd been kicked in the chest and back by a mule! It still hurts pretty badly in those two places, and my hand still hurts, because my pinkie on my right hand is aimed to the right! <<grins>> But I need to keep my splint on instead of doing things I shouldn't be doing, like washing dishes, typing a lot, etc. It's hard to convince a stubborn coonass (which I am!) that they are not Super Woman, and that they need to be STILL and let Father Yahweh heal them! Mama's not getting to come today because it was raining, but said they should be able to come tomorrow. That's OK, I'll just take it easy today. Forgive me if it takes me a while to answer your emails; it's difficult to type one-handed. <<grins>> Please don't forget to pray for my Mom's weight loss (see Prayers for Illness page). Her doctors can't seem to figure out why she keeps losing, and I can't figure out why I keep gaining. <<grins>> Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Tuesday, 6/19/07:

Last night as I was getting ready to go to bed, I lay on my right side, rested my head on my splint, and was talking to Richard who was at his computer. I remembered I had to get up and go take my pain pill, so I quickly sat up... thought I was going to DIE, it hurt so badly!!!  I keep forgetting that I've been in a serious accident less than 2 weeks ago, and can't do things the same way I always did!  And every time I turned around yesterday, I was taking off my splint to wash some dishes or wash my hands, etc., so it's swollen again and hurts like the devil!  Good news is that my bruises are beginning to heal!  My stomach bruises are even QUICKLY fading, though the hard knots are still there. [WIKIPEDIA - A hematoma, or haematoma, is a collection of blood, generally the result of hemorrhage, or, more specifically, internal bleeding. Hematomas exist as bruises (ecchymoses), but can also develop in organs.] And Richard still won't let me drive my new HHR until I see the doctor next Monday! Ah, well, that's the way things go! <<grins>>  My Mama is coming to spend a good part of the day with us tomorrow, and since I rarely get to see her, I'm sure looking forward to her visit!  She is a sweetie!  Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Saturday, 6/16/07:

It was a rough day, friends!  It was rainy all day, which makes arthritis act up in everything that's ever been hurt, broken, sprained, etc.  So Richard was in severe pain in his knees, ankles, and back all day.  And I was in severe pain in my chest (where the seatbelt grabbed me), my stomach, which is severely bruised and has a hard spot from the bruising, and my fractured hand.  Richard's son, Josh, came in for the weekend, though, and helped by sealing our ceilings and readying them for painting.  Richard could never have done it on his own, so we are extremely grateful!  I have at least another week off to heal, then have my doctor's appointment on the 25th, at which time, he will remove the stitches from the back of my head, and will reassess my health to decide when I can return to work.  Hopefully, most of this pain will be gone by then, or I'll never make it, since I have to drive 100 miles/day (3 hours/day).  I was able to take a pain pill every 6 hours, but unfortunately, they only last about 4 hours.  I'll write again tomorrow. Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Friday, 6/15/07:

Not much different today.  My pain is about the same, and the hard spot still remains in my abdomen, but the doctor said it's nothing to worry about, that it's caused by the bruising.  I keep forgetting that I'm injured, and continue on willy-nilly as if I weren't! To say I pay for that mistake is an understatement! <<grins>> My doctor took me off the pain pills with Ibuprophen, and told me to take pain pills without.  Our bank of 7 years, with whom we had the loan on the Neon, refuses to refinance our HHR loan, even though we told them they could automatically deduct the payment each month.  It would have lowered our loan payment considerably, but they won't budge!  Richard will be seeking a part-time job near home. Please pray the perfect job will come along that won't tax him overly with his heart problems. I dearly miss driving, and am rather shocked that I am unafraid to do so.  When the Lord removes His child's fear, He totally removes it!  All praise and honor be to Him forever!  I'll update you in the morning. Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Thursday, 6/14/07:

Some things hurt less now, some worse. I am a very hyperactive person (at 54, just like I was as a child!), and tend to forget that I was in a major accident 8 days ago, so I cannot do things as quickly or as often as I'm used to doing them!  I had the "dropsies" yesterday, and kept quickly grabbing things before they could hit the ground and break, and I'm paying dearly for that little fiasco today! <<grins>> My right shoulder blade is hurting SO badly this morning!!!  My right side continues to hurt if I forget and move the wrong way, and brings tears to my eyes when I try to lie down!  And my stomach that is so badly bruised all the way across has a hard knot from the left side to the belly button. Yes, I have a call into the doctor to ask him about this.  And yesterday, I tried waiting until I couldn't stand it any more before I'd take a pain pill (trying to wean myself), so I wait 9.5 hours to take my second one for the day.  FYI, that is NOT the way to wean yourself!!! <<grins>>  I hurt so badly by the time I took it, I was in tears!!!  The bottle says to take one every 4-6 hours as needed, and Richard has been telling me to take one every 6 hours... I guess I'll listen this time! <<grins>> Father Yahweh continues to bless us and make things run smoothly for us (to Him be all the glory and thanks!!!)!  We went to the junkyard yesterday to view the car and pick up my personal belongings.  OMG, if you could see that car in person!  It gave me the chills!!!  The photos above do not do it justice, nor do they show the love and power of the Almighty!  It was incredible!!!  Not only did the entire front of the car meet the steering wheel, but it was bowed in the center vertically!!!  Without His aid, my legs should've been crushed if nothing else!!!  The wrecker driver who walked us over to the car just shook his head!  Richard told him, "And she's still walking!"  He asked "Who is?" Richard stepped aside and pointed at me and said, "My wife."  The guy said, "What a blessing!"  He also couldn't believe I was still alive! I told him, "Father Yahweh loves me!" He said, "No doubt!"  And we were able to witness to the girl who worked there, as well as another couple who were there viewing their car!  WONDERFUL example of His care and love! It looks like today we will finally be able to stay home and rest... praise God!!!  We are in the progress of trying to get a car loan financed through someone else instead of the car's loan company. If we could, it would lower our car payment tremendously!  Please pray for His help with this!  And since HHRs have such a wonderful crash rating (the best!!!), our auto insurance not only didn't go up because of the wreck, but it actually went DOWN!!!  Praise Him once again!!! Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Wednesday, 6/13/07:

I'm hurting pretty badly in my chest and right side.  Yesterday, we went shopping for the HHR or a PT Cruiser.  We had received several "pre-approvals" from various car dealerships.  We started out at one nearest our home.  We sat there for over 2 hours while they "approved" our "pre-approval", only to find out that even though their advertisement on the Internet said they had quite a few of each, the salesman finally tells us that they have NO HHRs on the entire lot, and none of their Cruisers had cruise control!!!  So we got back into our rental car and drove to the next dealership, which is about an hour and 10 minutes from our home, and after MANY hours of shopping around and test driving some HHRs, were approved for the HHR above!  Thank God!!!  Needless to say, I didn't realize we'd be gone from home that long, so I didn't take my pain pills!  Of course, I had to DRIVE the HHR back home (left-handed only, since my right hand is fractured!), since Richard was driving the rental car!  By the time we got home, my ankles had swollen the size of my knees (NOT an exaggeration!!!), my chest and side were killing me, and I could barely get out of the car!  I'm hurting pretty badly this morning, and this morning, we have to drive WAY across town to where the Neon is located and sign release papers, because they won't release the doggoned thing to our insurance company unless I personally sign the papers!!!  Then, hopefully, that will be the last thing we have to do, and then I can rest and heal!!!!  Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Tuesday, 6/12/07:

This is the day that the Lord has made; blessed be the name of the Lord!  My doctor checked me out thoroughly yesterday.  He says I'm healing nicely, and like everyone else, he was shocked that I'm doing as well as I am.  He actually flinched when he looked at my stomach, because the bruising goes from one side of my stomach to the other, and is the color of ripe figs!!! He has informed me that he wants me to stay home from work for at LEAST 2 weeks, and that I am to do as little as possible until then. At that time, he will reassess my condition and decide when I may return to work. I am still quite sore, mostly where my seatbelt when across my body (my chest in particular). But I am taking pain/muscle relaxer pills, and am beginning to get around a little better. Praise Elohim that I have NO internal injuries, and that what I do have will heal with time! I have discovered that I can still type if I remove my splint long enough to do so. This way I can keep my updates going and my emails mostly answered. After all, I owed my healing all to Him, the least I can do is work for Him while I'm off recuperating!  Aaaaaah, I forgot to mention that He's already worked out all our other problems!  We received FOUR pre-approved loans from car dealers, and each one has PT Cruisers and HHRs for me to choose from. I can actually choose whichever one I want!  I think I'll let the Lord choose for me!!!  HRRs have a 5-star crash rating, and get GREAT gas mileage!!!  Cruisers have a 4-star rating, and only slightly less gas mileage!  My Father is SO good to me!!!  Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Sunday, 6/10/07:

All praise be to the Most High!  My pains are lessened even more this morning!  I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning at 11:30, and I will update you when I return from there.  Please keep the prayers coming for my total healing.  Now my precious Richard is having severe pains in his lower back.  Please pray for him as well.  He has been waiting on me hand and foot since my accident, and we certainly can't afford for both of us to be down with pain!  Love you all in Him!  Peggy.

Saturday, 6/9/07:

Father YHWH most definitely takes care of His Own!!!  For one thing, my pains are MUCH less today, though I'm still in quite a bit of pain.  Here are some things I'd been praying about shortly before the accident occurred, that were answered with this accident (as the above verse tells us... even potentially horrid things work to our good!):

About a month ago, our auto insurance came due for the year. My OT paid for the renewal. For some reason, Richard was led at that time to add rental car coverage in case something were to happen to the Neon, and to change it where the deductible would be $500 instead of $1,000! Our agent said we could rent virtually any vehicle we want for $35/day, up to about a month's worth of rental!!!

Then a potential concern came up, though we both know Him well enough to know He'd work it out... we didn't know how, but we did know He would!

Then Richard remembered we had received a pre-approval on a new car from someone, but couldn't remember which dealership.  At the time we'd decided we needed to keep the Neon, even though it had over 37,000 miles on it, for finance reasons and monthly payments.  So he'd thrown it in the trash can by his desk last week.  Well, he fished it out this morning... pre-approved up to $35,000... at the place he'd found the Cruisers and HHRs!!!!!!!!!  Coincidence???  I think NOT!!!

Praise His holy name!!!

Thursday, 6/7/07:

I’M TYPING ONLY WITH MY LEFT HAND, BECAUSE YESTERDAY (6/6/07) ON THE WAY TO WORK, I TOTALED MY CAR. I WAS GOING 65 DOWN THE FREEWAY, AND THE WOMAN IN FRONT OF ME SLAMMED ON HER BRAKES OUT OF NOWHERE! ALL I HAD TIME TO SAY WAS, “FATHER, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMEND MY SPIRIT”. I SLAMMED ON MINE TOO, BUT THEY DIDN'T WORK! MY CHEST IS KILLING ME WHERE THE AIRBAGS HIT IT, AND MY RIGHT HAND IS BROKEN. I'M BRUISED AND CUT ALL OVER! THEY HAD TO STITCH THE BACK OF MY HEAD. PLEASE PRAY FOR MY PAIN AND FOR QUICK HEALING. AND... FATHER YHWH SENT 3 LOVELY "ANGELS" TO HELP ME! AND WHAT A WONDERFUL BLESSING I DIDN'T GET HURT WORSE OR KILLED! THE COPS AND EMS TECHS WERE SHOCKED, BECAUSE THE CAR LOOKED LIKE AN ACCORDION! AND NO INTERNAL DAMAGE! EVERY JUNE, SOMETHING HAPPENS BAD WITH US… USUALLY RICHARD’S HEART. SO I BEGAN PRAYING THAT IF HE FELT THE NEED TO TAKE ONE OF US, HE WOULD CONSIDER TAKING ME. YESTERDAY BEFORE I LEFT THE HOUSE, A POEM IDEA POPPED INTO MY HEAD WHILE BATHING. THE TITLE IS “AS I LAY ON MY DEATH BED”… WEIRD???

Love to you in Him!

Peggy
