Nature:  (Eva's words) Mariels husband is in the hospital  he developed pnemonia after sleeping on his wheelchair from severe pain on his tail bone for two or three nights. She is going through a very difficult time right now.

Update:  (Mariel's words) Eva asked you to pray for my husband, who is in the hospital.  He had a crisis today but they really worked on him and he improved.  Praise God even for one more day.   How I appreciate that God sent him into my life.  I complain a lot, but it is wonderful to have this joyful person in my life.  What a blessing.  I told him Doves were praying for him and he said to thank you, Doves.

Nature:  Most of you probably remember me telling you about Richard & I both being sick with (viruses?) what felt like a bad cold.  Our doctor had called in some AWESOME antibiotics called Azithromycin (6-pack), which had gotten us completely over our illnesses.  Then yesterday, we were gone most of the day to Houston, getting new glasses for the both of us (to the tune of $1,017!!!!!!!!!!).  By the time we arrived home, Richard had begun sneezing again, and is now congested all over again!!!  He says he doesn't really feel bad, but still feels like he is going to catch it all over again!  We are planning our family party on Saturday, so we need for him to feel good so he can have a good time.  Please pray for Father Yahweh's mercy on our health and make sure everyone involved will be well and happy for the party. Update:  Well, we're both better, but neither of us are completely well, and both of us have to return to work tomorrow (me for only Monday & Tuesday, and Richard for only Monday-Wednesday), but we certainly feel a lot better than we did!  We had a wonderful time with my family celebrating Christmas yesterday!  Mama & Daddy, Aunt Gladys May, Shelly & Tommy & sons, and my sons Chris and Michael, came to our house.  We had a marvelous meal, and a really nice time visiting with them!  Thanks much for your prayers, and please pray total healing on us both.

11/27/08 Update:  (Vicki's words) Just received a call concerning the 4 year old who was run over by a lawn mower earlier today . He is in CRITICAL condition and under an enduced comma .  He lost his big toe on his left foot and they have to amputate his right leg at the hip. His mother is reported to be hysterical , which is expected. With this, and her being due to deliver their new baby, ANY TIME, she is in desperate need of prayers as well, for herself and their unborn child . This is such a tragic and heart rending situation, PLEAS E... PLEAS E, PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY!!! SO MUCH IS AT STAKE FOR THEM NOW! PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL GUIDE THE DOCTORS HANDS AND KEEP THEIR MINDS CLEAR , THEIR EYES FOCUS ED & THEIR HANDS STEAD Y AS THEY DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO FOR THIS CHILD ! PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL CRADLE THEIR UNBORN BABY IN HIS HANDS OF PROTECTION AND COMFORT THE MOTHE R! 12/1/08 Update:  (Vicki's words) He had surgery this after noon and they decided that they had to take the foot where he lost the big toe. He is in ICU and doing fine. They have scheduled surgery for his other leg this coming Wednesday. NOTE: ( Please excuse this, but I have been getting conflicting stories about this child 's leg.  Some say it is the opposite leg from the one he had the toe, then the foot, amputated from. Other s are saying that it is the same leg as the one with the amputations. Regardless to which is correct, this child needs serious prayer warriors to be in battle for him and his family.) They still don' t know, or at least his family hasn' t said if they know just how far they will have to go to remove the damage. Please keep praying for him and his family.  His mother is still carrying their baby. No delivery yet! Thank you, to all of you once again , for your friendship , love and prayers.  They mean so very much and are so very appreciated! 12/8/08 Update:  (Vicki's words) Littl e Hunte r is still in the hospi tal in Memph is, while his paren ts are in Jacks on with his brand new baby broth er, who was born somet ime yeste rday. Nature:  (Betty's words) My husband has had a flare-up of hernia trouble.  Last time was more than 20 years ago when our oldest was just a baby! My how time flies! The doctor yesterday said he needs surgery but unless it goes bad (May God prevent this!!) his surgery will be non-emergency and scheduled sometime in the next week or so. When it troubles him the pain is excruciating but thankfully it is only every couple of days and not usually for very long. Last night was bad but brief. His Parkinson's prevents him from remembering the previous surgery so that is kind of a blessing. I need prayer as it is difficult to watch my husband of 24 years suffer and have so little I can do to help... Thank you all for your community that cares for those who believe in the return of the Saviour.  We may differ on particulars but not the fact that the Scriptures are true.

Nature:  (Roma's words) I received an urgent prayer request this evening from my son, James, in Michigan.  His sister-in-law (Terri) has been having severe pain all over her body for a long time and the doctors haven't given her a diagnosis.  We met Terri at my son's wedding in Sept.  She's a lovely young lady. Twice in the last few days she has been to the emergency room because she could not move or walk.  Tomorrow morning they will find out if her insurance will be accepted at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. If so, her uncle is providing a vehicle and a gas card for her father to get her there. She is desperately in need of our prayers.  She lives with her mother and father, so they have had to watch her suffer.  She also has a little 5 year old son named Damon.  The family needs our prayers also.  Thank God that they are all saved.  We pray for God's will to be done.  Thank you so much.

Nature:  (Christine's words) Please pray for my daughter-in-law, she was admitted to the hospital yesterday as she is having contractions and is only 24 weeks along.  A little over a year ago she was in the hospital at 26 weeks in pre-term labor and ended up having her son at 29 weeks along.  I had sent in a prayer request then and God did a miracle, the little boy born at 2lb 15oz is now 25 lbs and doing amazing.  She is unfortunately going through the same thing again and we are hoping this time the contractions stop and that she can be released from the hospital.  She may have to be on bed rest but we are hoping that it can be at home instead of at the hospital for a number of reasons.  Please pray for her and my son for peace in this time of stress and healing of her body and the baby which is a girl.  Thank you all so much for the prayers I know there are many prayer warriors on this site and so appreciate all you do.  I am a long time lurker and pray for all the prayer requests also.

Nature:  (Eileen's words) I have a tendency to get cysts that get infected, and I have two of them on my lower abdomen and arm now that I’ve had for awhile that refuses to get healed, in spite of the fact that I keep them dry, clean, and bandaged every day with Neosporin.  I’ve been in the hospital before with this problem to have them lanced and have an IV with antibiotics pumped into me, so please pray that God heals me so that doesn’t happen.  Thank you so much!

Nature:  Mama asked me yesterday to put two family members on my prayer list.  One, my cousin Diana Serres has had an artificial eye for years now.  She went in last week to have laser surgery on her other eye, and now she can't see at all!!!  Please pray for Father Yahweh to return full sight to that eye very quickly.  Also my Aunt Gladys May (Mama's youngest sister) was rushed to the ER a couple of months ago because she literally couldn't breathe.  They performed a tracheotomy on her at that time, and she was in a medically induced coma for a week.  I asked everyone to pray that Father Yahweh would heal her and give her another chance, and He graciously did so.  Now she's back to smoking as much as she ever did, and eating chocolate by the droves.  Mama is afraid she will have the same breathing problem again.  I told Mama, though, that if He were to take Aunt Gladys' life this time, it would NOT be His fault, and not to blame Him!  Please pray He will take away Aunt Gladys' stubborn refusal to quit smoking!

Nature:  (Peggy's words) I need your fervent prayers once again. Our VP was rushed to the hospital by ambulance a little while ago. His name is Gilbert Nance. PLEASE lift him up in your prayers. If I had ten thousand tongues, I could not say enough good things about this man. He is the boss that everyone wishes they had. He is thoughtful, caring, polite, respectful, soft spoken, he has a great sense of humor and is genuinely concerned about our wellbeing…he is truly a great man. His heart is not cold, he cares about both, the company and the employees. I will keep you posted on his progress.

Update:  (Peggy's words) Praise the Lord! What a mighty, mighty God we serve! Thanks for the fervent prayers my brothers and sisters in Christ. Gilberts first day back to work was yesterday. I saw his smiling face this morning and gave him a great big old hug from all of you. It was pure joy to see that big old smile on his face. Please continue to war for him because although he is out of the hospital and back at work, the hospital did not find the problem. He is walking a bit slowly and still not feeling 100% yet, and, he is only working half days this week. My friends, he needs us to continue our prayers to God Almighty. Thanks for the love!

Nature:  (Donna's words) While I was putting an inner storm window down yesterday afternoon in the living room, the outer storm window suddenly fell down on my left hand.  Now I can't bend my ring finger on my left hand all the way over nor can I lift anything with my left ring finger or my left pinky finger, and the knuckle below my ring finger is swollen and hurts if I press down on it.  Please pray that it will heal quickly so that I am able to do everything normally again and that I will be able to bake the pies I promised my stepson for Thanksgiving.  Thank you for your prayers!

They gave her 2 units of blood and they are not sure yet what is going on with her. Please pray for Lana for her health issues as well. She (Lana) needs heart valve replacement.

Update:  (Judith's words) I called Lana and her mom is home from the hospital.  They did some tests(concerned about bleeding) and found that  the Blood thinner was causing the problem.  Lana said she is doing better and appreciated the prayer.  She also would like us to keep her in prayer as the doctors haven't made a decision about Lana's upcoming heart valve surgery. They went in before and tried to repair her own valve but it still is leaking(minimal the doctor said) and have not made a "cut in stone decision" about what to do yet. Nature:  (Reva's words) Doves, please lift my husband to THEE Throne with a request for his back to be quickly healed!!  He manages a Christian band & when lifting a ~SUPER HEAVY~ speaker   (seriously the thing ways about 2 tons ~ no ONE person should be lifting it alone.... and yet, a few days back, he lifted it some 10 times during the course of the week) Suffice to say, his back "went out" and HAS BEEN HURTING EVER SINCE!!!  He's gone to the chiropractor, of which we're both big believers in, however the pain continues on & he thinks he may have done some serious damage.  The good news is:  the band has since purchased a much easier-to-handle lighter weight speaker.  The bad news:  Rob's back had ALREADY gone out of whack before then.

Update & New Request:  (Reva's words) "When you pray ~ COINDENCES begin to happen"!!  .....     [ha ~ well not REALLY coincidences!! ~ not at all.... but I once saw that neat saying written on a sign ....] At any rate, I want to thank you Doves who go DIRECTLY to heaven's throne room with prayer requests!!   Thanks for sending up a quick word of prayer for my husband's back to be healed.  I asked him tonight how it was ~ and he said "much, much better!" So we thank you!! And now -- heh, can you pray for the front of him to be healed?  I'm talking about his heart .... he's under a LOT of stress right now.... incredible deadlines & such to be met; constant things to have to do..... and his heart has started doing "flip flops" in his chest ~ with a little *quick second* pain associated on the other side of his chest.  He KNOWS he's overweight.... eiks... we both are!   And we are working at trying to resolve that.  He is also pretty sure his arteries are clogged.  Although our Dr. mentions that this is more likely associated with the stress. At any rate, hoping to get a clean bill of health -- and for "husband" to DELEGATE some responsibilities out!!   He often gets this notion that he's indispensable & that he just "can't stop" .... or take TIME to be sick!! Anyway, hey thanks AGAIN for your prayers!!   May the Lord bless you for praying for others!!

Nature:  (Pamela's words) I talked to my sister today who told me about getting a call from a young Amish mother whose 5-year old son had swallowed a straight pin. While she was telling me the story I flashed to an article I had written in the book. According to Heinerman's New Encyclopedia of Fruits, Vegetables & Herbs, sweet potatoes help to remove any kind of small foreign objects such as coins, needles, safety pins and thumbtacks that are accidentally swallowed by either a small child or a mentally retarded adult. So I read this to my sister who while we were talking put me on three way and tried to contact the mother. She and her husband run a general store in their community, but neither were there since today is Sunday. But fortunately a message machine came on. It wasn't long that the mother called in and by three-way I was able to tell her about feeding her son boiled, baked or steamed sweet potatoes. The little boy was taken to the doctor who took an x-ray and the pin is in his intestines. The doctor recommended nothing but a clear diet, but another doctor recommended the opposite, leaving the mother completely confused. I suggested that at least with the sweet potatoes the boy would be nourished, but suggested she pray about it and do what the spirit tells her to do. I also suggested she have the boy use a child's potty so she will be able to see if the pin is expelled. So I ask that you pray for this situation. The doctor wants to do a colonoscopy in the morning and possible surgery if the pin is not safely expelled. The parent's do not have insurance and any expenses are out of their pocket. They do NOT have a lot of money. We're hoping and praying that everything will work out ok. Thank you!

Nature:  (Tina's words) I am asking prayer for Jeremy (22 years old).  Remember I asked prayer for him a few months ago because of his suicide attempt.  He was in a very bad accident last night and is in Victoria Hospital with severe injuries, he has already lost his leg....Please pray for his family as well, his mother is a Christian but not sure about the rest of the family.  Please ask others to pray, thankyou and Bless you.

10/26/08 Update:  (Tina's words) Jeremy is out of surgery.  They had to remove his right leg and put a rod in his other leg to stabilize it, they also repaired many internal arteries. He had a punctured lung and is covered in cuts and bruises.  It is a miracle that he survived, it took emergency crews 4 hours to remove him from his vehicle. Praise God for his miracles!!!  I will continue to update you, PLEASE continue to pray for Jeremy and his family.  Bless you. 10/28/08 Update:  (Tina's words) Jeremy was booked for surgery again today to have his pelvic re-aligned and pins put in to build it up.  His mum and I prayed last night and his sister laid hands on his pelvis and prayed for his healing.  The doctor told his mum today that it was much better than they expected and they only needed to put in one screw, PTL.  He is not fully conscious but he has squeezed his mums hand. He still doesn't know that he has lost his leg.  Please keep praying! 10/30/08 Update:  (Tina's words) They are removing his breathing tube today, he is doing better, PTL - still doesn't know his leg has been removed.  His family are looking for accommodation for themselves in Victoria so please pray that the Lord will provide in a miraculous way... keep praying, bless you. 11/1/08 Update:  (Tina's words) Jeremy is now completley off of life support and is able to eat, drink and speak a little.  He is aware that he has lost his leg and is seemingly handling it better than anyone expected (thank the Lord).... The family are still in Victoria and will remain until he is able to be transferred to a local hospital, which is probably weeks away.......Please continue to pray for Jeremy and for the family that they will be given strength and provision, Bless you. 11/4/08 Update:  (Tina's words) Jeremy is now fully aware of his loss and is experiencing some anxiety.  His leg was amputated from above the knee and he might need more operations to remove more of his leg due to infection etc.  Please pray that the infection will be contained and eliminated.  We prayed for accommodation for the family while they are in Victoria and his mum was telling me that they have had many people offering to pay for hotel accommodation. One gentleman, whose son is in ICU,  has offered them accommodation on his property which is only 15 mins from hospital.  Prayers are truly ANSWERED, PTL!
