Cereal Cookies

1 cup margarine

1 cup oil

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 t. vanilla

3½ cups flour

1 t. salt

1 cup oatmeal

1 cup mashed cereal (any kind)

½ cup nuts

½ cup coconut (optional)

Combine first margarine, oil, sugars, egg and vanilla.  Combine flour, salt and oatmeal; add to first mixture.  Add remaining ingredients.  Let stand for 5 minutes.  Make small balls; flatten with fork.  Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
