Something Great for Cookies

½ cup oleo

½ cup sugar

½ cup molasses

½ t. cinnamon

½ cup soda

1 beaten eggs

3 cups flour

1 t. salt

½ T. vinegar

½ t. ginger

Bring sugar, molasses, oleo, and vinegar to a boil.  Cool.  Add the egg, then the sifted dry ingredients.  Mix well.  Chill.  Roll on lightly floured pastry sheet.  Cut and bake at 375º for 12-15 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
