Streamlined Chimichangas

 1 lb. ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1 clove minced garlic

¾ cup Pace picante

1 t. ground cumin

½ t. crushed oregano

½ t. salt

8 flour tortillas

¼ cup melted butter

Dairy sour cream

Guacamole


Brown meat with onion and garlic; drain.  Stir in picante, cumin, oregano and salt; simmer 5 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated.  Brush 1 side of tortillas with butter; spoon heaping third-cup meat mixture onto center of unbuttered sides.  Fold 2 sides over filling; fold ends down.  Place seam side down in 13 x 9 x 2” baking dish.  Bake in preheated oven at 475ºF about 13 minutes or until golden brown.  Top with sour cream, guacamole and additional picante.  MAKES 4 SERVINGS.
