Swedish Meatballs

1 cup milk

½ cup crushed dry bread crumbs

1 lb. ground beef

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 sm. onion, chopped

1 T. Worcestershire

½ t. salt

¼ t. pepper

Dash cloves

2 T. cooking oil

¼ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup cream

beef bouillon


Pour milk over bread crumbs in medium mixing bowl.  Let stand 10 minutes.  Add ground beef, egg, onion, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and cloves.  Blend well with fork.  Form into 1” balls.  To 0preheat browning dish:  MICROWAVE 5 minutes on HIGH.  Add oil and meatballs.  MICROWAVE 4 minutes on HIGH, turning meatballs once.  Remove meatballs and set aside.  Stir flour into drippings until smooth and well blended.  Gradually stir in cream and bouillon.  Return meatballs to dish, cover, and MICROWAVE 6-8 minutes on “6”, or until sauce is thickened and meatballs are cooked trough.  Let stand 5 minutes uncovered.
