Beef-Noodle Casserole

1 lb. ground beef

2 T. butter

Garlic to taste

1 t. salt

1 t. sugar

Dash of pepper

2 (8-oz.) cans tomato sauce

1 (7-oz.) pkg. flat noodles

6 green onions with tops

1 lg. pkg. cream cheese

1 cup sour cream

½ cup grated sharp cheese


Cook beef in butter until crumbly; add garlic, salt, sugar, pepper and tomato sauce.  Cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Cook noodles according to directions on package; drain. Cop onions; mix with cream cheese and sour cream.  After meat sauce and noodles have cooled, grease a 2-quart casserole; alternate layers of noodles, cheese mixture and meat sauce.  Repeat; sprinkle top with cheese. Bake in 350º oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
