(14-oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
T. plus 1 t. vanilla extract
T. butter flavoring
cups coarsely chopped toasted pecans
Combine first 3 ingredients, mixing well. Pour mixture into 1-gallon ice cream freezer container. Follow manufacturers instructions for operating the ice cream maker. When machine has stopped, drain the melted water from the bucket and repack with more ice and rock salt (3 parts ice to 1 part rock salt.) Cover with heavy towel and let set undisturbed for about 1 hour to "season". Add butter flavoring and pecans to ice cream mixture just before freezing. Serve immediately or store in freezer. Makes about 2½ quarts.
