Dash of salt
1 lb. fresh green beans
3 T. Land O’ Lakes butter
2 T. slivered almonds or pine nuts
1 T. grated orange peel or strips
Bring water and salt to a full boil in 10” skillet; add beans. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes. Cover; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until beans are crisply tender (10 to 15 minutes). Drain; set aside. Melt butter in same skillet until sizzling; add almonds. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown (1 to 2 minutes). Add beans and orange peel. Cover; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until heated through (5 to 6 minutes). Makes 4 servings.
