Pressed Spritz Cookies

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 t. vanilla
¼ cup evaporated milk
3 cups flour

Preheat oven to 400º. Mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, and milk, mixing thoroughly. Stir in the flour, mixing well. Fill the cookie press with the dough and form cookies on a cold and ungreased cookie sheet. Bake on an oven rack slightly above the center of the oven for about 8 minutes or until light brown. Remove from cookie pan at once.
Yield: 5 dozen cookies
