STRAIGHT FROM THE BIBLE

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness... (2 Timothy 3:16)

Jesus' Confrontation With The Ancient Giants And Fallen Angels
In
“Jesus' Confrontation With The Ancient Giants And Fallen Angels” (an audio file [24-28 Aug 09] I
listened to yesterday), Judd Burton stated that if you believe the entire Bible to be the infallible, Spirit-breathed word of God, and books like Jasher and Enoch were quoted from in the Scriptures, then why do some folks want to say that since they aren’t “in the Bible”, they aren’t Spirit breathed and therefore not trustworthy? Obviously they were, or they would not have been quoted from by Yahshua and others, and written into the Bible itself?  I can guarantee you that if it wasn't Spirit-breathed, Yahshua certainly would not have talked about it!  Here is an old list I copied from 5 Doves that lists many apocryphal books that were not included in our Bible, yet were quoted in our Bible... click HERE.  The Book of Enoch goes into GREAT detail about the Nephilim (expounds greatly on the Genesis 6 account), the various judgments in Heaven, our pets standing before the Throne giving an account of their treatment, etc.  Makes you wonder why the Council of Nicea didn't want these books in our Bible???

The Ancient Book of Enoch (J.R. Church)
These men believed that Enoch’s translation was a rapture — the same kind of translation that Christians anticipate. Even though the church did not include the Book of Enoch among the collection of divinely inspired writings, early Christian scholars believed that Enoch wrote the book, and that it had been preserved aboard Noah’s ark. It was among the oldest writings of the human race — the first apocalyptic literature ever written. In fact, some have suggested that Enoch helped develop the alphabet and literature as a means of communication.

How Jesus [Yeshua HaMashiach] fulfilled Old Testament prophecies, 3/25/06

In the Beginning (the Creation story)

In the Last Days (traits of people in the Last Days)

Jack Kelley's answer to this question:
Having just read the article on 'The Rapture and the ten virgins' I am left feeling very confused. Most bible commentaries I have read suggest that the foolish virgins represent Christians who have become 'backslidden' and do not seek a true relationship with Our Lord or those who have been 'given over to their sin' (1 Cor 5:5), but haven't yet cried out to God for the mercy of His Grace. I would be grateful for your comments.

Josh McDowell: Proof for the Risen Christ
Best-selling author, Josh McDowell, says that after more than 700 hours of studying Christ’s resurrection, he has come to the conclusion that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is either one of the most wicked, vicious, heartless, hoaxes ever foisted on the minds of human beings, or it is the most remarkable fact of history.

Women May Not Teach Men
Evangelical feminists refuse to accept the Bible's plain words which forbid teaching of men by women, and are unable to adequately explain why Jesus himself did not appoint any women as apostles before his crucifixion, or after his resurrection.  In this article we refute claims that Priscilla was a minister, Phoebe was a deacon, and Paul didn't really mean it when he said that women weren't allowed to teach men.
