My Special Dream of 6/4/06 (& Praise Report!!!)
“And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men dream dreams, your young men see visions. (Joel 2:28)
Let me preface this dream with the fact that as of the date of this dream, 6/4/06, I had been a smoker (sometimes a VERY heavy one) for 35 years (from the time I was 18 years old... incidentally, I don't think it was coincidence that the amount of full cigarette packs I had remaining that day was 18!!!). The dream appeared the SECOND night after I'd had my last cigarette. By Day 3, my desire was GONE!!!!!!
Only with the Lord is this even slightly possible!!! It is totally necessary, however, if He is to answer your prayer and come to you in a dream, that you first repent of the sin of defiling His "temple" in the method I chose to do so (smoking). Once your spirit is cleansed from the sin via His shed blood, and you are choosing obedience to Him over personal desire, He will GLADLY answer your request for personal comfort! It is impossible to please Him and totally walk in His Spirit until you repent of ALL unrepentant sin, and that includes smoking, over-drinking, over-eating... anything that keeps your walk with Him from being as it should be! For this reason, I am grateful He allowed bronchitis to overtake me before something more serious came along, due to my stubborn refusal to bend to HIS will! Praise His holy name forever!!! Before I went to sleep last night, I asked Yeshua to please appear to me in a dream so that I would know that He will help me with my smoking cessation. I went to sleep at about 10:00, woke up in the "eleventh hour" (11:11 p.m.), and remembered several of my dreams (which is highly unusual for me, and more than likely due to my unrepentent sin of smoking for 35 years and lying to my husband about how many cigarettes I'd been smoking, both of which I've repented for now). I dreamed I was "sleeping over" with someone. I don't know who exactly, but it was someone I feel comfortable with. I honestly believe it was my best GF/sister in Christ, Linda, who is a huge dog lover. We spoke yesterday (Linda has worked in my building for 12 years, and is a fellow smoker of mine... we are both in our 50's), and she has agreed to quit with me!!! Anyway, in my dream, I was laying in bed with her, lights out, and we were talking. I felt this "little critter" under the covers, crawling up my body. Instinctively, I knew it was one of her puppies. I turned the light on when it reached my chest, and it was this little white poodle-looking puppy, which looked about a month or 6 weeks old. It had white curly hair, which I could see the pink through. I laughed and told Linda, "It looks like a little lamb"! It was laying on my chest, right over my heart, sticking its little pink tongue out at me! Then to my left, was another puppy, similar, but it GRINNED at me with human teeth!!! I told it, "Get away from me, Satan!", and it veered off to the left of my body and disappeared! When I awoke, it occurred to me that it WAS a LAMB (the puppy on my chest)... Yeshua, my Messiah!!! I'm gonna make it!!! He's there for me, and I'll be OK!!!
