Snow falls in Golan Heights, Upper Galilee

Snow fell Saturday morning and early afternoon in the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee, Israel Radio reported. In some areas, the snow was defined as heavy.
Several
roads, including highway 89, were closed to traffic due to the snow. Roughly 25
road crews were working to reopen the roads.
According to the Meteotech meteorological company, snow may fall in Jerusalem in
the afternoon or early evening Saturday.
Some snowfall was spotted in the north and in the hills around Jerusalem on
Friday morning, but it melted quickly.
Later, clouds rolled in and light showers fell throughout the country, with most
areas seeing between two and eight millimeters of rain.
The rain will continue on Saturday and the stormy weather is expected to subside
later on in the day.
Thunderstorms were reported in the western Negev on Saturday, and heavy hail
fell in Sderot.
Sunday will be similar, with a possibility of rain and snow in the morning.
Monday and Tuesday are expected to be warmer and dry.
