The Kingdom of God is likened
to 10 virgins awaiting their Groom;
Five were waiting and ready,
but five were to meet their doom.

When the foolish took their lamps,
they took no oil with them,
but the wise took extra oil,
so they could be ready for Him.

Now, the Groom delayed His coming,
they got drowsy and began to sleep.
At midnight, the Bridegroom came,
and the foolish began to weep!

They cried to the wise, "Give us oil!
Our lamps are going to go out!"
But the wise told them, "Buy your own,
for we have heard His shout!

While they were gone to buy some oil,
He took the wise to sup,
and after they had entered,
behind them, the door was shut!

Just as in the Rapture, friends,
be ready for His return!
There's a lesson in this parable
that you and I should learn.

The Groom will come when we least expect,
you never know just when,
and once we meet Him in the air,
the door will be shut again!
