Through Him Who Strengthens Me
I can kick
my habits, I know I can,
and be all that I can be.
I can do these things, not by myself,
but through Him who strengthens me.
My body's
the Spirit's temple,
yet I filled it full of smoke.
I kept thinking, "I'll quit later,"
as I began to gag and choke.
I thought
I'd never make it,
they had such control of me,
until my Holy Father,
opened my eyes so I could see...
that even
though I was well so far,
had nothing that couldn't be cured,
I may not be so blessed next time,
so I needed to make real sure.
I
struggled through, and it was hard,
but I made it with MANY prayers,
and compassion from a holy God,
and support from those who care,
I can kick
my habits, I know I can,
and be all that I can be.
I can do these things, not by myself,
but through Him who strengthens me.
