"For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Do You Believe That UFO/ET Disclosure Is Imminent?
I have entered into a conversation with a person that claims to have close ties to a member of Congress well informed on UFO/ET. I am working with this person because I believe we need to develop a broad consensus with both politicians on both the left and the right on exopolitical issues as disclosure progresses. At present this individual wishes to remain anonymous because this individual wants to keep separate his-her personal ET related activities from the other political activities that he-she is involved in. I have been communicating by phone and by email and this person tells me that this member of Congress is well informed on UFO/ET related matters and also that he is well connected to President Obama and meets with him frequently. This person asked me to suggest what this member of Congress might be able to do, to be helpful to myself and others pushing for disclosure. I sent the material in the following link as a letter to this member of Congress as part of my own very limited disclosure effort to show the middle ground between the left and the right.
Posted 11/5/09Extraterrestrial Life Official Disclosure Imminent <- FEATURE!!!
An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life. Dissatisfaction among powerful institutions such as the U.S. Navy over the decades-long secrecy policy has given a boost to efforts to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial life and technology. The impending disclosure announcement follows upon the secret implementation of a year long openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Over the period February 12-14, 2008, the United Nations held closed doors discussions where approximately 30 nations secretly agreed on a new openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in 2009.

A video of a missile fired by Iran has amazingly captured a UFO flying across the sky, splitting a cloud in two. The clip was originally intended to capture the controversial launch of the Shahab-3 rocket. As the rocket soars into the sky, after almost 38 seconds a close cloud is surprisingly torn in two by a flying object traveling at speed. Former UFO analyst for the Ministry of Defense Nick Pope believes that nothing man-made could rip through the cloud in that fashion. One theory is that it’s a secret American drone. At any time there are prototype aircraft and drones being operated that won’t be shown in public for years,” the Sun quoted him as saying. ‘Stealth aircraft flew for many years before their existence was acknowledged. But the speed and acceleration seems phenomenal. I’m not convinced we’ve got anything capable of such maneuvers,” he added.

A new study by the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo shows the first quantitative evaluation of planetary habitability. The study identifies some potential habitats in the solar system and also shows how the habitability of our planet has changed in the past, with some periods being even better than today. Abel Mendez presented his results on Monday, October 5, at the 41st Annual Meeting of the Division for Planetary Sciences of the American Astronomical Society in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. The study of planetary habitability has become more important with climate change and so has the search for habitable environments in the solar system and beyond. Many environmental factors control the habitability of a planet in complex ways, but a direct assessment of the habitability of a planet has been a continuous problem in planetary sciences. “It is surprising that there is no agreement on a quantitative definition of habitability. There are well-established measures of habitability in ecology since the 1970s, but only a few recent studies have proposed better alternatives for the astrobiology field...

A UFO appears to streak through the sky in this astonishing video of the Iranians test firing a controversial missile. The mystery object zooms unseen through Iran's airspace — before splitting a cloud in two as the film focuses in on the soaring rocket. A UFO expert today described the unknown craft — which appears to be tracking the weapon — as "phenomenal". Iran launched two short-range missiles last Saturday — angering the West and Israel. A US report on Fox News revealed the UFO in footage of the second launch. The video shows the Shahab-3 rocket soaring into the sky. But after 38 seconds a nearby cloud is mysteriously torn in two by a flying object travelling at speed. Nick Pope, a respected former UFO analyst for the Ministry of Defence, examined the remarkable footage. He hinted that whatever ripped through the cloud was not man made. He said: "One theory is that it's a secret American drone. At any time there are prototype aircraft and drones being operated that won't be shown in public for years. Stealth aircraft flew for many years before their existence was acknowledged. But the speed and acceleration seems phenomenal. I'm not convinced we've got anything capable of such manoeuvres."
Posted 10/8/09Aliens In The News
They're body snatchers invading human bodies and taking over society; they're E.T. and The Man Who Fell to Earth trying desperately to get home. They're a malign new crustacean life form with multiple sets of acid-drooling jaws that uses our bodies as incubators, vessels to spread its population throughout the galaxy. Since the early days of film, Hollywood has capitalized on our insatiable appetite for stories about aliens. We've been enthralled with aliens since the beginning of civilization. The ancient Greek philosopher, Anaximander, speculated about the existence of worlds outside our own as far back as the 7th century BC. Every civilization, from ancient Babylon to the Incas of South America, had a sense of life existing somewhere besides here. Newsweek's recent cover story was about the search for alien life. But what exactly is an alien life form if it doesn't look like the bug-eyed green men so often displayed in tabloid papers? What if it does not care about finding us, much less abducting us for experimentation?
Posted 9/28/09The Hunt For Extraterrestrial Life Gets Weird
In the search for extraterrestrial life, some scientists say we’re focusing too much on finding signs of existence as we know it, and in the process, we may be missing more strange forms of life that don’t rely on water or carbon metabolism. Now researchers from Austria have started a systematic study of solvents other than water that might be able to support life outside our planet. They’re hoping their research will lead to a shift in what they call the “geocentric mindset” of our attempts to detect extraterrestrial life. “With our current measurement strategy for life on other planets, we will only be able to detect life which shares most of its parameters with terrestrial life,” astrobiologist Johannes Leitner of the University of Vienna, who presented his research Friday at the European Planetary Science Congress in Germany, wrote in an e-mail. “Presently we will not be able to detect exotic life, because we have no idea of its potential properties and by this, our probes to planetary surfaces do not carry instruments which can look for something exotic.”
Posted 9/28/09METI (Message Extra-Terrestrial Intelligences) For Funding
Efforts to Search for and Message Extra Terrestrial Intelligences (SETI and METI) have met with a lot of opposition. Some say that there's no life out there, possibly because they view the universe as only slightly larger than the Earth with some twinkly bits at the edges, and some say that if there is we shouldn't let it know we're here, because every science fiction ever has painted them as acid-blooded blade-things who live only to pick us off one by one for sport/our salt/fun. Another objection to these efforts is the financial cost, which is ridiculous. We've reached the point where Doritos - makers of insanely flavored corn-chips - can afford to hire the EISCAT Space Center to beam adverts at Ursae Majoris. When snack-food makers can pay off our space research centers, we have way worse cost and capitalism problems than the relatively inexpensive search for life. To put it in perspective: SETI's budget last year was about two million dollars, and Doritos will spend five on three ads to run during next year's Superbowl. So while one group searches for intelligent life in the stars, the other takes advantage of how there's none down here...
Posted 9/23/09For Alien Habitats
A mathematical equation that counts habitats suitable for alien life could complement the Drake equation, which estimates the probability of finding intelligent alien beings elsewhere in the galaxy. That equation, developed in 1960 by U.S. astronomer Frank Drake, estimates the probability of intelligent life existing elsewhere in our galaxy by considering the number of stars with planets that could support life (see "Are we alone?"). The new equation, under development by planetary scientists at the Open University in Milton Keynes, England, aims to develop a single index for habitability based on the presence of energy, solvents such as water, raw materials like carbon and whether or not there are benign environmental conditions. The draft equation will be presented today at the European Planetary Science Congress in Potsdam, Germany, to garner feedback. "At present, there is no easy way of directly comparing the suitability of different environments as a habitat for life," said planetary scientist Alex Hagermann, who led the research.

In a small New England town, members of a support group, which boasts a growing membership of 1,500, gather for a "secret" meeting. "I wanna let you know that you're not alone," the group leader begins. Twin sisters Audrey and Debbie, who have asked that their last name and hometown be withheld, have also come a long way to share their experiences. "It was a long, tiresome battle," Audrey said. "It's impacted my life tremendously. I'm still in therapy." The group that's assembled for this meeting is not struggling with alcohol, drugs, sex addition or gambling. They're part of Starborn, an alien experience and awareness support group, catering to those who say they've been abducted by aliens. Many people have wondered: are earthlings living on a speck of dust -- alone in the infinite universe or are there other intelligent life forms out there in the cosmos? Nearly half of all Americans and millions more globally believe we're not alone, according to a 2000 ABC poll. While 40 million Americans say they have seen or know someone who has seen an unidentified flying object, or UFO, a growing number believe they've actually met aliens.

The deputy commander of a U.S. Air Force base in England was baffled by what he'd seen: bright, pulsing lights in the night sky. Britain's defense ministry couldn't explain it either, but concluded that the unidentified flying object posed no threat. The National Archives on Monday released the government's complete file on the "Rendlesham Forest Incident" of December 1980, one of Britain's most famous UFO sightings. It was among more than 4,000 pages posted online Monday documenting 800 alleged encounters during the 1980s and 1990s. Over the past three years the Ministry of Defense has been gradually releasing previously secret UFO papers after facing Freedom of Information demands. The Rendlesham file contains U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Charles Halt's firsthand account of the event, which has been public knowledge for many years. The file includes the conclusions of a British government investigation and a letter from a former defense chief urging officials to take UFOs more seriously.
Posted 8/20/09The Great Silence: Why Haven't Signs of Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life Been Discovered?
"The idea that we are the only intelligent creatures in a cosmos of a hundred billion galaxies is so preposterous that there are very few astronomers today who would take it seriously. It is safest to assume therefore, that they are out there and to consider the manner in which this may impinge upon human society." Arthur C. Clarke, physicist and author of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The world-renowned physicist Lee Smolin author of Life of the Cosmos says that what we should look for to confirm the existence of intelligent life in the Milky Way is a message left for us some time in the last several hundred million years. Smolin suggests that one such message might have been left in the genetic code of some living creature in the language of nucleic acid bases in the DNA, confident that the ability of living creatures to replicate DNA would keep the message relatively uncontaminated for the time scales of this order. There is a great deal of DNA in most species that does not play any biological role and varies enormously from species to species without apparent cause. The existence of this DNA is one of the puzzles of molecular biology.
Posted 8/20/09Mass UFO Sighting In Russia, Child Takes Amazing Photo
Three children, Lyuda Kurenkova, Veronica Prudnikova and Pasha Arbekov, were playing in a field in the Russian village of Ilyinke in the early evening hours of the August 7 when they noticed a large and perfectly clear UFO pass overhead. The classic flying saucer shaped UFO cast a large shadow over the field and the girls began yelling to alert other villagers of the bizarre sight. Meanwhile the UFO made a few circles of the village before heading to a nearby communications tower. As the UFO approached the tower its lights went out. It seemed as if the UFO was interfering with its electrical supply. The children described the UFO as glowing and coloured both blue and red. At one point one of the girls managed to snap a good photo (above) of the object. Other villagers, on hearing the girl’s screams, also came outside and saw the UFO.

The incident is just one among the hundreds of reports of UFO close encounters, from aliens with lemon-shaped heads to laser beams being shot to earth, contained in the files. Other episodes include when two “sober” Glastonbury festival goers saw a flying saucer hover overhead and dozens of sightings which turned out to be a Virgin Airship and two boys who claimed an alien told them: "We want you, come with us". Lord Hill-Norton, a former chief of defence staff, wrote to Michael Heseltine some years after a mysterious incident in which several US Air Force personnel reported seeing a strange metallic object hovering in Rendlesham Forest near RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk. The incident, in the early morning of December 27, 1980, has become known as “Britain’s own Roswell”, and has never been fully explained. The late Lord Hill-Norton, a member of what he described as the “rather ineffective” House of Lords UFO Group, wrote to Mr Heseltine in May 1985 to express his concern over the “puzzling and disquieting features” of the case.

Two terrified youths who ran into a Staffordshire police station were in no doubt they had seen a UFO land in a field near Chasetown after they experienced an intense heat when they were walking up Rugeley Road, Burntwood, at 11pm on 4 May 1995. "Their skin turned a glowing red," said the Staffordshire police inspector's report. "They saw a darkish silver inverted saucer shaped object in a field, which was glowing red beneath. The object was about four houses high in the sky and about 40ft away from them. They then, reluctantly, went on to state that a voice, which came from a lemon-like head, which appeared beneath the machine, said: 'We want you, come with us'." Neither was drunk or under the influence of illegal substances and the next day both provided the police with detailed written reports of what they had seen, but when the police visited the field a local farmer said he had been crop spraying there but had not seen anything unusual.
Posted 8/19/09Gary Bates On "The UFO Phenomenon As Growing And Not Going Away." Is It The Next Great Challenge For The Church?
Like my colleagues I mainly focus on the wider creation/evolution issue. However, there is an ever-increasing amount of articles from established scientists and even politicians giving the UFO-believers’ cause some seeming validity. The mere fact that politicians are actually holding such an exopolitics conference should give us cause for concern in itself. And I have recently had an increasingly strong sense, almost one of foreboding, that this is an impending paradigm shift that will very likely be a major issue in the future. That’s why I make the point about the timing of your email. My concern is that the church is still not equipped to deal with the creation/evolution problem yet, and the UFO phenomenon, which is a subset of this, is an issue majorly shunned/avoided by the wider church. This is despite the fact that a belief in extraterrestrial life is overwhelmingly accepted by the majority of the population, Christians included.

Our collaboration began in December 2007 after a chance meeting while working on a documentary about those events that have become collectively known as ‘the Rendlesham Forest incident’ and regarded by many as the most important UFO case since the Roswell incident in 1947.
