Who Are the 144,000?

The 144,000 were specifically chosen on
this earth to be witnesses on this earth during the Trib, after the Church has
departed to be with Yahshua. It is clear that the 144,000 are JEWS (1,200
from each of the twelve tribes of ISRAEL), and they are marked with the Seal
before the angels are allowed to carry out His judgments, just as the Jews in
Egypt were to place the blood above their doorposts so that the angel of death
would pass over their homes. We, the Church, don’t NEED another mark…
we have the Spirit living in us, giving testimony that we are His children.
Along with the Two Witnesses, the
144,000 will be performing the work that the Church now provides… spreading
the Gospel. And if things went the way that others have said, no infants
would be saved, because those who couldn’t talk, couldn’t very well preach
the Gospel, could they? And God knows before they are ever placed in the
womb how long they are going to live.
And we are already in Heaven by the
time this occurs (the sealing of the 144,000 occurs in Revelation 7). Here
we are:
And they sung
a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals
thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. (Revelation
5:9)
Who else has been “redeemed” by His
blood? Certainly not angels or any other created being except we humans
AFTER His death and resurrection… NT Saints… WE are considered His Bride.
The OT Saints aren’t even included in this Rapture.
For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in
Jesus will God bring with him. (1 Thessalonians 4:14)
…and
For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first: (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
Now notice in Revelation 19:7-9:
7Let
us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb
is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8And to her was
granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for
the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9And he saith
unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of
the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
How could we have made
ourselves ready (see Revelation 19:7) if we weren’t already in Heaven with
Him? and how could we be righteous unless we’d already received our
incorruptible bodies? And this is the Church ever since Yahshua rose from
the dead over two thousand years ago… do you mean to tell me there could only
be 144,000 saved in 2,000+ years??? No way!
And again in Revelation 21:2, the New
Jerusalem is coming down OUT OF HEAVEN, and then in verse 9, the angel tells
John: “Come hither, I will shew thee the bride,
the Lamb's wife.”
Notice in verse 8 what we are arrayed
in. It’s the same as what we are arrayed in here:
"Now
I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were
like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written
that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and
His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth
goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself
will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness
and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name
written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Revelation 19:11-16).
People need to take the Scriptures at
face value unless told that what is being spoken is only a parable. For
instance, when God says 100-pound hailstones will fall during the Trib, I know
He literally MEANS 100-pound hailstones.
